| It was a cloudy day. There hadn't been many incidents lately, roughly a week since the attack. Streetlights had began to turn on by now, and the young Reploid 'boy' known as Daedalus (by extremely few) was sitting on a street bench, thoughtful.
He was in one of his 'moods', as his nephew Zekt had named them. It was one of those moments where he kept arguing the value of fighting for the sake of fighting, something he had acquired upon his revival and return to the world of the living, even if accidental. While he disliked fighting, since he would have preferred to live in peace (something that, unfortunately, woudln't happen until HE was beaten for sure), a part of him just loved the rush and joy of a good match, something that must have been a part of him from his Robot Master days. He sighed. It was probably time to go home now, since the rain was going to begin soon. |

| "Sonance has been deleted, and now..." Zero sighed, tugging on his brown cloak, "I have to investigate where that warp signal leads to..."
The clothes he wore consisted of a dark gray hooded sweatshirt, a white tank top underneath, rugged dark red pants and a black leather belt with his Navi Icon as the belt buckle. He had black sneakers, light gray socks, and wore green wrist cloths and a gold necklace with a stylized colored Z attached to it, all of it was covered by a brown cloak. |

| Daedalus tilted his head to the side, as he heard footsteps. A frown covered his features, as he got up. "Oh, it's you. 'Maverick Hunter' Zero, Crimson Devil, Ultimate Creature, yadda yadda yadda. Don't have anything better to do? Terminate some random 'Maverick' that is terrorizing the city, perhaps?" he asked, irritatedly, while turning around. "Maybe even mope around for a lost love? Who knows!"
While his movements were fluid, the irritation was probably something that could have surprised Zero, given how young the boy in front of him was. "But pfeh. Enough of this. What's your new mission?" |

| Zero only blinked. "Who the hell are you? And what's a kid like you doing in this part of the city... ahh forget it."
He walked of as he recieved communication connection with a four month pregnant Alia. "What si it?" "So, did you track down the warp?" "Yes, it led me to some sort of city or something. Whatever it was that tried to destroy Sonance's fortress before Forte deleted the bitch, seemed to lead here." "I see... look, make sure you find out who it is that tried to delete Sonance, then make a full report to me. Whoever tried to delete her must wanted to help us in the first place." "Or it's some nutjob who wants to take over what the bitch in purple tried to do..." "Well that's true. Listen Zero, just keep on your feet. Since your more likely in another universe, you mustn't draw too much attention to yourself." "Right... Zero out." Zero closed his hiden COM, and sighed, walking towards the last known positive data signature that the Hunters have collected during a mission. "Sheesh, since she's gone, Shadow's gone on his own, and created eight new viruses. As if we haven't had enough trouble from those guys of that new terrorist organization..." |

| "Oh? You mean, that woman is dead?" Daedalus asked, blinking. "Not even a full week, either... seems like someone must have gotten busy." If that didn't catch Zero's attention, he'd walk towards him. "As for who am I... how rude! Pay your superiors some respect, will you? Just because you think you're better, it doesn't give you the right to both curse in front of me and bother me both at once!"
Then, he looked sideways. "Betcha wouldn't even give due credit to who deserves it..." he said in a quieter tone, while one of his hands seemed to tighten for a moment. |

| "... Wait!" He exclaimed, "Now I know you! You're the brother to that jackass Zekt."
He jumped high and landed on the roof of a nearby building. "Shit, the warp signal we collected after Sonance and Forte fought last week, and it leads to where you guys exist. Well shit. I'm not in the mood, I need to find that signal and collect data." Then he erupted into a beam of light and shot off into the sky, heading to the energy signature that corresponds to the one he's looking for. |

A large EMP field had surrounded the two, spreading for many miles, and was high enough to cover the buildings. "Now, now..." Daedalus asked, even as he jumped at Zero's location as well. "Before you run away like a scaredy-cat, which proves my theory that you're a worthless loser and that you do not deserve your reputation at all, let us talk, shall we?" he asked, even as his armor was summoned to him. (Before you ask, it's transferred, taken to inside the field, teleported to Daedalus. The field blocks teleportation.) Then, a chest cavity opened, and he pulled out a large disk-like machine, which was large enough to fit it properly, and yet small enough to not get stuck in it. He began pressing some of the buttons in it, apparently paying more attention to it than at Zero. 'Battle system, set...' "So, let me begin with this. Why do you hate Zekt so much? Just because he happened to be better than you? Jeez, talk about an ego. Wonder what your Iris did when she met you..." he stated, simply, before typing some commands. 'No chips, similar abilities, or those escape things...' "Then, of course, comes the fact that I've nearly been killed - twice, I might add - no thanks to YOUR lot of villains. Honestly... you probably don't know this - which only means your information's being tampered with - but Sonance tried to invade this world just to kill my nephew, which is why you got here anyway." Now he was pressing some more buttons, almost done. 'Battle grid set... escape feature locked... just enough to keep him busy...' Then, when he was done, he pressed the big red button on the center, and grinned. "Finally... Execute." A large grid appeared on the ground, enveloping the area. Meanwhile, Zero's connection to Alia and the other Maverick Hunters was cut off, even as much of his Folder was locked from access. (OoC: You aren't avoiding this one: the item he just used works like one of those NetBattling tables from the MMBN-verse, which means they override the chips. The battle is simple: Zero can't use AntiDamage-type chips, can't use summoning chips, or any abilities of his which either mimic or are mimicked by other (non-Zero) chips. He can't escape until either Daedalus is dead, knocked out, or releases him. He also has a limit of eight EX Skills. In compensation, he still can use the rest of his Folder.) "If you want to leave, first you're going to have to prove to me you can fight my style or not. If you can, I'll let you go... but if you can't, you'll learn it the hard way." There was a weird grin in his face, not evil, but... "Of course, you failed double, I doubt you can win." |

| OOC: That would be the Beat and Rush Navi Customizer Blocks. Rush prevents Antidamage, Invis, and other support chips. Beat steals user's chip data... There's also a Battlechip called NaviCust Remove, which destroys all the inserted Navi Cust Blocks off the Navi Customizer, same with Reset Bomb.
Great, now this bastard won't let me complete my mission... "Listen you asshole, your interfering with my mission. If you attack me, then I'll fight back only in self-defense." He glared, ripping off his cloak as a flash of light radiated from him. When it faded, he still has the looks of a teenager with a long, blonde ponytail, green eyes, and red and white armor. He had red and white boxy shoulder pads with an odd Z-shaped symbol imprinted on the left one, his icon symbol. His chest armor was red, with two green bulb-like things on either side. His helmet was also red and it had a triangular blue crystal in the forehead. The fins were slightly pointy at the ends. The leg armor was a bit bulky but very light in weight, red colored with white knee pads at a triangle point. A hint of gold was around the shins, the boots pure white. At the sides of his shins near the gold were green circle indents. His bodysuit is a black color. His Z-Saber handle was seen at the left side of his shoulder. It was connected to some sort of battery pack on his back, red with vent exhausts in the rear of the battery pack. OOC; In short, X series reploid armor. "Now... the name Iris sounds familiar..." He opened his holo computer and did a few typing, before getting his needed results. "Ahh, I see... so there's a Iris in this world too hm? Well listen, both our universes are completely different. I don't know what your Iris is... but the Iris from our world exists in the paralel universe of Earth, known as Beyondard. "From research from my good friend RockMan, Iris was a NetNavi who was disguised perfectly as a mere human being, because she was all of Beyonard Colonel's emotion data..." Then he revealed a screen, which showed data on Iris.EXE. She had flowing light brown hair, with two hairpins the shape of butterflies. Her eyes were a sincere jade green, light skin, and she wore a pink and white dress reaching down to her knees, with a pink ribbon like bow around the front of her waist. She also wore shoes, and high heel blue socks. 
OOC: Part of the opening credits of the Rockman EXE anime... part of the "Beast" series. You can also go here to check out her profile, as she appears in the anime. "Second of all, with the way you're doing, you can't win if you're going the villians' way out to win a battle. Saiba and X tried that before, and it never worked. So what make's you think what you're trying to do will work?" Zero was not cut off completely from his base back in his universe, not after David's small invention that allows direct contact to the base via his PET. "Zero? What's happening?" "Nothing Alia, just keep an eye out and let me know if he's going to try something sneaky." "Right." "Now... I don't know what you are going to prove, but if you stand in my way, then I WILL defeat you. And if I have to do it the brutal way, then so be it. Now, don't say I didn't warn you kid. Oh, and if you have other friends that will try to save you, then you'll be no better than what you're TRYING to prove..." He slowly pulled out his Z-Saber, and held it out in front of him. "Oh, like your dearest David nearly ruined my family's life more than once? And yes, I know it's going to be self-defense from you. However, it's not just personal business, kid... I'm actually doing you a favor." When Zero summed up his version of Iris, he shrugged. "Oh, here she was only the sister of the Repliforce member Colonel... and, per chance, your first girlfriend, although you killed her after her brother. But I wouldn't blame you... after all, she went Maverick, right? She was nothing but a brainless wench who had to be destroyed for the good of all, didn't she?" he spat, angrily. "Typical of the Hunters... if someone's not on their side, they're naturally Mavericks. And you didn't answer me... why do you all hate Zekt? Especially that human?" After a pause, he continued. "And stop calling me kid, twerp! I'm at least two centuries older than you, dammit!" It seemed he was either taunting Zero on purpose, stalling for time, or doing something different... "And pshaw. I don't need help to put you in your place. In fact... how about you say a random number from one to nine, and I'll use that exact amount of Master Weapons to fight against whatever you have left?" He had moved a few meters away by now, but was still close enough. |

| Now it was time for Zero to smirk. "Well, whatever happens here isn't nessecary the same in my world. Now, I have no idea why you think we hate you guys, in fact we had no clue that you guys existed in the first place, so in other words." He summed his answer in the form of flipping the bird at Daedalus.
"We have enough trouble. David and Alia helping General Stolz with finding as much information on that new net crime organization, my Net-op and Alia expecting a child soon in five months... and Forte who vanished fater deleteing Sonance, and then Shadow's threat of his eight viruses... too much..." He did a frontal flip off the roof and landed on the ground, even as the hum of his saber echoed clearly in the air. o o o "BLAISE!" Elsewhere at the base where the new net crime organization existed, everyone was running around with fire extinguishers and large buckets of water. Once again, Blaise had set the giant kitchen on fire for trying ot cook some simple hamburgers. "Blaise! Must you try and burn down the base?" Pride shouted, trying to put out a raging fire. Then, he closed his eyes, and laughed. "Oh... quick tip, which you may find useful... R. X. Think about it." About a few moments later, he shrugged. "So, you won't attack first. Well, that's weird for a badguy, but I know the feeling, so..." Saying that, he fired a Metal Blade, the spinning projectile heading straight at Zero. |

| Of course... elsewhere back in the cyberworld. There was recent attacks of shadowy creatures prowling on NetNavis, and Roll had just confronted the source of the chaos, and was right now running off. "And where are you going?" IllusionMan cackled as he faded back into the darkness and followed after her. Roll didn't bother to look back to see if he was tailing her. She just kept running while her operator explained everything. After several minutes of running, she finally stopped in the middle of a large open area and waited. A cloud of darkness appeared and IllusionMan emerged from it.
"So you've finally stopped running." "I'm here to fight now!" "You may have overcome my illusions, but you will not defeat me." IllusionMan brought up his arm and took aim, "I'll make this quick and painless." "Trident Battlechip, slot-in!" A Piranha virus suddenly materialized in front of Roll and fired a trio of needles at IllusionMan. He saw them coming and quickly dove to the side to avoid getting hit. "How can she use Battlechips?" he hissed through his mask as he got up. "Would you really like to know?" asked Roll. Bright lights suddenly flooded the area and IllusionMan found himself standing in the NetBattle Coliseum. "Curses." "Sword Battlechip, slot-in!" Meiru slotted in a chip and Roll's hand morphed into a sword. She dashed forward and swung at IllusionMan, who blocked with his gun. "And thanks to these bright stadium lights, your illusions are useless here," the pink Navi added as she continued to push her opponent back. "Damn! She's right!" IllusionMan spread his wings and flew back to gain distance, "This is one battle I cannot win." His clouds of darkness surrounded his body and he vanished. The clouds in the sky soon dispersed and the illusions all vanished. Electropia's Internet City was returning back to peace. "He's gone," Roll sighed. "And everything is back to normal," Meiru added. She logged out her Navi and Roll immediately returned to her PET. o o o Dark clouds slowly appeared as IllusionMan stepped out into the dark system. He re-holstered his gun and crossed his arms over his chest. "Reality..." he whispered, "...is overrated." o o o "Eight? Eight for what?" Zero asked, but wouldn't get an answer as he jumped high, and just as the blade shot under his legs, he stomped down on it and promptly stopped it dead. "Alright kid, you're asking for it... don't say I didn't warn you punk!" He formed his buster over his left arm, and fired several blasts of energy forward, then he slashed hard, and released a powerful wave of energy from the saber. Finally, two halves of a squared shield formed outward around the barrel. He took aim and fired a blast of energy. The target was to strike Daedalus' crotch. No rule against crotch shots, he thought to himself, Heh, Axl's teenage additude is rubbing off on me... |

| "You said the word 'eight', kid. Jeez, does getting raised by that human turns you into a moron or something?" Metal Man asked, as he glared at the ease the Navi had at 'blocking' his move... oh well, he'd just wait. He had more than enough time...
"Now, since you think you are doing good, well... guess what?" he asked, before jumping at Zero's height, by the time he'd have initiated the saber beam at his previous location, Buster ready as well. "My reaction time's faster than yours." The Metal Blades were flying fast now, one per attack Zero had used, and one in particular which exploded upon impact, neglecting the last hit. |

| Zero sped clear out of the range of attacks, vanishing out of view. He would strike down Metal with Raikousen if he doesn't move in a second. Of course, Metal Man hasn't seen speed yet.
"You're out of your league, kid." Let's try out these new upgrades David input last week. "Red Lotus Saber!" The beam saber of his changed to a fire element, as it transformed into live flames, as the hilt changed to something similar to his Zero Virus helmet, and the handle fitted to be held by two hands. He jumped away, and lashed out with his weapon, as waves of fire flares out with each slash. "Woo! This is a good weapon!" Red Lotus Saber channels all of Zero's speed and defense into extra power, so Metal Man if he gets hit by the flares of fire would feel much more damage than usual. "Now, who or what is an RX? Because I have no clue who the hell he/she/it is..." He gave him a dark glare. Similar to Metal Man's friend's stone-cold glare. o o o David sighed, as he sat at his usual spot, while getting bombarded with begging from Spider. He was almost tempted to give Spider the old one fingered salute. RX had to bite his tongue to not burst out laughing. "Oh c'mon David! Just go with me and Markus!" David, do you remember the last time Spider and Markus dragged you off somewhere? Yes and I todl them I don't want ot go anywhere. And yet they somehow managed to do so anyway. They dragged you to this local dance bar where you got so drunk and they managed to get you to sing kareoke. Though how in X they were even capable to drag you down to such a low level... is beyond me. David had to supress the urge to sigh loudly. | Metal Man had managed to switch weapons in time, although he was still hit by the Raikousen. It hadn't hurt much, thankfully... but still, one mistake too many and defeat'd come.
He turned towards Zero, creating the Leaf Shield in time, and firing it at Zero; it'd intercept the Red Lotus Saber attacks. "And who're you to decide that?" he asked, as he attempted a tackle - which, given both his increased weight and the overworked boosters he used, would be stronger than normal. "As for that? Ask the human, he'll know. How else did you think I found out?" |

| His Z-Buster changed yet again. This time the buster had formed into a more slimmer model, almost an aerodynamic form. The Turbo Buster. "Take this bitch!" Then he fired an insane amount of rapid-fire bursts of plasma, all poised to hit him in the face, more perferbly the eyes, before he dashed out of harms way, slashing at the Leaf Shield and pretty much reduced it to burning ashes.
The Turbo Buster as the name implies grants Zero extra speed, and the buster also fired a massive assault of low leveled plasma shots, but at rapid fire speed. But the drawback is the using this model weapon negates a charge. "Let's try another sword..." The saber glowed yet again, before taking a more smaller form. Now, it resembled a katana of sorts. It was the same length as the Muramasa, the blade coated in a faint dark blue aura. The hilt was extravagant looking, and almost resembles a small shuriken, and the handle was a styled crimson, white, and silver. "Z Ichimonji... let's try it now..." It isn't an ordinary sword, as Metal Man will soon find out. He slashed thrice, each time a wave of energy raced forward. Now, what makes this different from any other Sonic Boom: these will pierce his armor defense reguardless, and the sword itself grants the user a forty percent boost in attack strength, which feels different as opposed to the Red Lotus Saber. "Now, I'm willing to understand you not accepting the fact that my operator David created reploids or the fact that he has reploid tech armor, but he only created a few handful of his designs. Only Marino, Forte, ForteZero, Spider, and myself have reploid forms, and himself and his lovely wife owning reploid tech armors. Because of the new threats from this "Organization", David did not want his reploid technology to fall into the wrong hands... "And I'll be damned if you think of him as nothing less than a mere human. He's stronger, and smarter than you think punk. And I am pretty sure he'll be able to disable and lift up this EMP Field you generated too." And besides, if they ever invade my world, then they'll be destroyed by the scrambler weapon used to destroy Copyroids instantly and deleteing the host within... "Zero, I heard the whole thing. Alia just grabbed me from the cafeteria and told me what was happening." "David?" Zero lifted his arm, and a vid screen of David's face appeared on it. The screen turned around, to face Metal Man. "Oh, it's not that scythe wielder. What the fuck are you doing attacking Zero! We're on a mission to locate that last known signature. Someone from your world as far as data scans by Alia shown, that someone came into our cyberworld, and tried to stop Sonance himself or herself before we infiltrated her fortress two weeks later after Epsilon's deletion and helped Forte delete the final Super Navi. "As the supreme commander of the EXE Maverick Hunters, I have the proper rights to execute the tactics to have you stopped by any means nessecary if you continue preventing Zero-kun from completeing his simple Data Retrival Mission, and that includes disabling your EMP Field from where I stand. "I understand if you 'roids like to battle, but your only slowing down Zero's progress." "Hey David! Are you coming with me and Markus to that bar downtown?" "SPIDER SHUT THE FUCK UP! THE LAST TIME I GOT DRAGGED WITH YOU I SOMEHOW GOT SOO DRUNK I WAS UP ON STAGE SINGING KAREOKE!" David was really peeved, and even though his Inner Voice was nothing more but a mere extention of his psyche, David was heavily tempted to give Spider the one-digit -- a temptation which seemed to send his Inner Voice rumbling into poorly hidden laughter which no one but David can hear. Zero closed his eyes, sweatdropping, and supressing a groan. Metal Man could hear snickering coming from David's wife, and two other females in that room. "Why did David have to assign Spider as a Maverick Hunter three years ago..." The blond swordsman muttered under his breath. |

| Another Leaf Shield was formed, taking the hits for Metal Man, while the Reploid himself slowly deactivated the thrusters, heading downwards. When he was low enough, he made a movement towards Zero's path, and the leaves flew much faster this time.
Then, he deactivated his hovering system, and fell to the ground, hard enough to make everything shake and tremble. "Don't call me that... I'm a male, twerp." (Since I'm unsure whether Zero is touching the ground or not at the moment, if he is, he's gonna be stunned.) He backdashed away, and watched as the energy waves collided on the ground. "I'm not angry because of that... I'm just commenting on stuff. Is it my fault that you lot are arrogant as crap?" he asked, switching to the Quick Boomerang. "And you're joking, right? You really are going to admit you're a failure? That's pathetic!" Then, when David appeared... "Oh, if it isn't you. Having fun?" he sneered, glaring hard at him. "As for your question, I simply put decided to test him, seeing as he happened to stroll along the path. If he can't prove he's good enough to fight against the odds, well... it's not gonna be my fault when he dies in a close future." David's next comment was irritating. "Oh, shut your mouth, kid! You guys have absolutely NO legislation here. In fact, I could accuse you lot of trespassing and would be right!" he snapped back, before adding. "And don't try to shut this down, unless you want to see your computers all shut down..." Then, finally, he took a breath. "Big words from a small mouth. Betcha haven't even told them, right?" He grinned evilly. "Should I do it for you, then?" |

| Zero jumped high, and avoided the tremors, while destroying the leafs with his weapon like shredding paper, then he clung to the nearby wall and kicked his boosters to scale the wall.
"... Shut the fuck up. Our computers are much more advanced, and that powered by the X Towers world-wide, primarly makes you obselete in my eyes. The wepaons he wielded was called the B(ashiyou) Fan. With the threat neutralized, he made them vanish, and he now wielded a large broadsword like weapon, half made of metal, the missing metal blade made of scan line data; the S(igma) Blade.
