Try this:
Right click on the start button and go to explorer, and open every folder.

I gave up at about 1:30(1 hour 30 mins)

Strange thing is, I actually did that one day... pure boredom... and no I'm not doing it again, not even for this thing.

Um... I don't know if I'd call that boredom or stupidity.

There's MUCH better things to do with your life, even when bored.

I think it falls under both categories, Colin. Anyhow, without doing anything, I can say that multiple selections owns this "challenge" to some degree, but it's still pointless to do and likely to crash your computer after a while.

Better things to do include something with PHP or a shitty SMW hack or parititioning your computer so you can run linux and use that so you no longer have a tree system to be tempted to mess with.

I don't know if that's bored or just obsessiveness.

I opened this expecting a "I cut myself" thread.

I dont think I would ever do that. Unless I was doing it with friends at School to see who went faster.

We do weird stuff like that sometimes...

Why... just... why? Boredom does produce odd results but, there are indeed more constructive and interesting things to do than open folders in your drive. "You need a hobby", as a parent would say to their child.

Pft. If I wanted to do that, I'd make a macro do it for me.

I done that once, although I didn't have that many files/folders so it only took about 20 minutes in total. One really annoying thing is that you have a folder called 'My Documents', and say you had loads of folders, you've finally finished that, and then, you get to the folder 'Desktop', and inside that folder, you have 'My Documents', and you have to do those all over again. It's a good job this doesn't happen:

Desktop > My Computer > C > Documents and Settings > %Username% > Desktop > My Computer > C > Documents and Settings > %Username% > Desktop > My Computer > C > Documents and Settings > %Username% > Desktop > My Computer > C > Documents and Settings > %Username%... (well you get the idea) otherwise that'd be murder trying to complete an infinitesimal (???) number of folders.

Tried it.

The computer loaded in about 45 minutes later. Of course, I don't have as many folders as I usually place everything in drive C or "My stuff" (One huge folder), which requires a pass to keep certain people from reading my notes or files..

I didn't make it... I ran out of RAM and it was going way too slow. (And I have 1 GB of ram and a 3Ghz processor)

I think I have way too many files and folders.

This reminds me of the time on a school computer running Win98, I made a shortcut in Startup to every item in C:\Windows. That was fun to watch.
