An IPS is created by taking the two files and working out the differences between the two. If the same source file is used in conjunction with an ISP patch then a destination file will be created that is *exactly* the same as the original file that the patch was created from. So an emulator should be oblivious the fact the file was created with a patch, as it will be impossible to tell after a patch is successfully applied.
If something has gone wrong it could be that the source file being used is not the same as the source file that the patch was created with. The patching program used incorrectly applied the patch. Or the patch is bad. The chances are you are using the wrong source file to apply the patch. |
