Browser? I have a hard time understanding what each thing on a computer is called, but if you mean what I use to surf the internet, I have Comcast High-Speed Internet... And I'm using Windows XP.

Comcast is your ISP (Internet Service Provider), not your Browser.

A browser is a piece of software like Internet Explorer, or Mozilla lololol. Chances are you're using Internet Explorer -- and on XP, you are using IE 6 -- what might make a difference though is the Service Packs and such.

To check exactly which version of Internet Explorer you are using, open Internet Explorer and go to Help > About Internet Explorer. It will say what version of IE you are using there.

Thanks. I am using IE 6. But... As suddenly as it appeared, this strange occurance has disappeared. How odd that problems mysteriously get solved when someone tells another person about it... Thanks anyways, though.

Random bug report: If you open newreply.php to attempt to reply to a thread that is in a restricted area, you don't get an error message or redirection, just a blank page.

When trying to preview a post, it would be nice if the attachment would show up on the preview, but it doesn't. And if does do that on other browsers (which it might), it doesn't work on IE7,

Attachments are to only be uploaded when you actually post, for various reasons.

Feature request: more disabling functions!

There's a disable HTML button, but there's no option to disable turning returns into <br>. And wouldn't it be awesome if you could turn HTML and Smilies off permanently via profile?

Xkeeper; I'm getting a couple of MySQL errors when using shop.php. Is that a known problem or no?

Didn't somebody mention a few months back that they were going to make a User Comments feature for profiles? I'd love to see it, although it would probably be a lot of work for admins to monitor.

I have a feature request, how about adding the Nifty Ranks from the Nitfy Boards? I would like to see those ranks here.

I think this is a bug... If you look at the name of the user who posted last in this forum (You can't now- I just posted), it says "spammer". Clcik on the double-arrow next to it to go to the thread he/she last posted in, and... It's not there! It's always "id=0"... Someone should fix that. I checked in Pit of Despair to see if it got moved there, and it wasn't. Someone or something made a non-existant thread. Is it possible that someone found out how to hack these boards? (The general idea of someone hacking this board and being able to see private information about people is disturbing...) And no, I didn't do it. I can't even make a simple ASM hack for SMW without asking for assistance. (I think. I've never tried before.)

That's because that guy's post was deleted. That's been a known bug for who knows how long.

Okay, I'm freaked out now. I'm surprised I'm still able to come here. I went to another website, came back here, and I got a message saying I was IP banned! But I didn't think I did anything wrong. .....Did I? Did someone find a way into my IP-thing and try to re-register (maybe that "spiderman3" guy? I hope not)? Was it a simple bug in the board system? I need to know, so I know what really happened (and try not to do what I did if I really did get IP banned for a few minutes because of what I posted)...

OH THANK YOU. Whew... I thought something bad happened to me... I wish I could give whoever did that (My guess right now would be Xkeeper) a piece of my mind, but I can't, so I won't try. Instead, I'll just be happy that I did nothing wrong to get IP Banned.

Feature request?

How about notification emails for users who've given them out? When you've been quoted, when your posts have been edited by a mod, when someone's PMed you... It might be a major change, but it'd be a good way to improve communication among members.

With an option of having a pop up appear when such emails are sent? (I'd use it, it would be nice that when you receive a PM the board sends you a pop up with the notification and a direct link to it).

The problem is that I'd have to run though all bits in the database to convert that ("_¬" -> "¬_¬"), not something I'm really looking forward to, not to mention I'd have to fix the instances where other people have put ¬_¬ already, resulting in ¬¬_¬

A few problems. Grey, while your idea is nice, it'd require actively tracking when posts are replied to. I guess it could be something like that with the Favorites feature, but even then I'd have to make the board send potentially hundreds of emails out (multiple posts to an important thread), and I know most emails in profiles are garbage.

Uly, your idea falls apart considering that most people leave popups off. Considering that there's already a large PM notification message when you get one at the top of every page, I don't really think a new one is needed, sorry. (Though I can make it go to the newest unread PM...)
