I'm doing this as the readme and the online tut say to do them, but the blocks i want to add will not show up in the Map16 Access. What am i doing wrong?

I open Lunar Magic, Blocktool, and the Calculator like it says to in the tut. Then I find the Map16 code, put it in the Calculator and convert from Hex to Decimal and then enter that number into the Add block's Map16 dialog. Yet, when i save the blocks to my rom, they won't show up.

Basically, I just want to add the frozen blocks to my hack. I'm trying to put them on Map16 tile 167. I throw 167 into the Hex calculator and convert to decimal. I get 359 as the decimal equivalent and enter that. Save to the rom, but nothing happens.

Help please?

The blocks' graphics don't show up automatically. Your first problem is using Map16 167, don't do that. Use a Map16 tile 300 to FFF. Second, the block's graphics don't automatically show up - you have to put those in yourself. If you hover over the tile you inserted them to in the Map16 tile selector and a purple box pops up with a description of the block, you've done everything right. You just need to put the graphics in; use a combination of GFX/ExGFX edits and Map16 tile editing for that.

Oog, I haven't really started doing GFX/ExGFX/Map16 editing. Basically, all my hack is right now is a basic level hack. I haven't thought of changing GFX yet.

Where can i find something that would help me with editing them? SMW Central?

Click on Map16 16x16 Tile Editor and simply copy one existing tile to your new block. Easy-peasy lemo squeezy.

Ok I figured it out and change the graphics. I also tested the game and the frozen block do break. Yay, I'm happy.
