| At her words, Jack cracked a smile. do you know how many people, Just like you, I've seen?" He said, his smile growing more synister. "All cocky, all arrogant. Thinking themselves invincible. Thinking that they are the most powerful. That they're gunna run the streets." His eyes flashed angrily as he took a drink of his water. " And do you how many of those people are still living? None. And if they are, they are ALL just tools. Tool's of people who are smarter, with more power." He slammed his glass down as he came to the end of his rant, a sad smile crossing over his face as he stared at the child in front of him. "No..." He whispered sadly. "You will one day find out that you are not invincible. That you are not in control. Not here on the streets." His eyes glazed over as memories came back to haunt him. "No...there will always be someone else." He shook his head, as he realized he had nothing more to say on the subject. " If you were thinking to intimidate me, you failed. Miserably." | |||

I know how to take care of myself, and no one will ever control me. As long as there is breath in these lungs and blood in my veins, I will never be controlled. Yeah, I may have been in a few fights, got hurt a few times, and been kidnapped quite a few times, but look at me now, an orphan hanging out with someone who knows about the streets around here, while I am completely clueless. Oh and I wasn't trying to intimidate you. Jack, you are sweet and no one was ever this nice to me or has actually offered me company like you have." She said while blushing slightly. She pushed some of her hair away from her eyes and finished off her milkshake and fries. |
