Why is the word filter, followed by a colon, or a space then a colon, converted into x:?

it was used for "filter: x-alpha" or something in styleshets, but it broke ClearType on XP in a miraculous way.

Acmlm disabled it.

Well how about just blocking that entire phrase. Blocking filter: breaks trasparencies.

"filter:alpha" isn't blocked, that was the one exception to the rule (I blocked "filter:" long ago when glow and such were still common, to get rid of those) ... weren't they all only for Internet Explorer, anyway

Oh, I see its putting a space after the colon that causes it to be blocked.
