What's the spiciest food you've ever eaten? I don't usually eat spicy things, though habanero hot sauce is tempting. My mom makes these spicy red potatoes. They're really good, but i kinda messed up when i tried to make it. Add it to the "egg on my face" incident where i ruined 4 whole eggs just trying to eat >< I dropped 1 and broke 2 yolks, and 1 good one was caught in the whole shindig.

I one timed ordered Wendy's spicy chicken tender sandwich.

It was good, but it was spicy!

I don't really recall much else that I ate that was really spicy...

I've had habanero chicken and it was super spicy...I think the spiciest thing I have had was a kind of Japanese curry. I really love to cook with a lot of spices because it adds flavor and a "kick" to your food! I'm only so-so at making curry though, I'm better at eating it xD

I don't eat a lot of spicy food, but I don't mind it when I have it. I like curries -- my favourite being Butter Chicken, but that's also the mildest -- I just love the creamy tomatoey flavour. I enjoy hotter curries though, but I frequently wish Butter Chicken had more spice in it because I'm always disappointed with that aspect of it. I'd like to learn how to make Butter Chicken so that I can make it hotter and have myself a good compromise.

Hottest thing I ever had was a mouthful of a very hot mexican dish while out with my family. My brother fancies himself as having good tolerance to hot and spicy food. He routinely scoffs at the Vindaloo offered by his local Indian restaurant, and thus fancied he could handle any hot food that the Mexican restaurant could throw at him. Scoffing at the menu's claim that "Deadly" heat really was extremely hot, and laughing off the waitresses' comments, he ordered the hottest thing on the menu. He even laughed and joked that he should have told the waitress to tell the chef to make it a good one.

There really was no need. One mouthful of it and it became obvious that he was in over his head. And me being the cheeky big sister I am, I turned to him after he was staring, gasping, sweating and oozing chilli from every pore and went "so uh... In over your head?"

This prompted him to dump a forkful of it on my fork when I was drinking my frozen margarita, then stare at me with a (fairly weak) smug look on his face till I ate it.

The sensation was not of heat but more of outright pain. Like maybe I'd eaten some bees. I was quite happy to munch on some lettuce afterwards for a bit till it settled down to it feeling "hot" as opposed to painful.

I only shudder to imagine what it would be like with a few mouthfuls and the sensation building on itself. He did good eating half of his meal... and all the tomatoes, lettuce and cucumber he stole from everyone else to quench the fire...

He says he is going to take his friends to that restaurant later, for torture purposes.

I basically can't taste much of anything so I tend to prefer most of my food fairly spicy. I like to prepare myself this special ramen I get imported from Thailand. I love it but I haven't seen anyone else ever eat any of it without vomiting.

The kind of spice that Tarale described is the kind of thing I like to normally eat. (The kind that makes most grown men cry in the fetal position.)

Hmm... he wasn't in the fetal position though -- his eyes were watering and his nose was oozing and he was covered in an instant chili-sweat, but he wasn't in the fetal position.

I know my eyes watered too, but I dunno about the sweat or the nose stuff. I do remember that I grimaced, nodded slowly and gave my brother an "I'm-going-to-hurt-you" thumbs up.

I can actually get away with eating it because my sences of taste and smell are basically shot. The only way I get anything is to spice the shit out of it. Because of the fact I've gotten used to it, and the fact I don't taste much of anything in the first place, I tend to eat amounts of spice that the general population would consider totally unsafe for human consumption.

The spiciest food i've ever eaten was a spoonfull of those peppers that you have to cut with gloves because the juice could burn your eyes out if it got in them. Though I can;t think of the name at this moment.

The hottest chili pepper on the Scoville Scale is the Naga Jolokia pepper (855,000 - 1,041,427 Scoville Units) , followed by the Dorset Naga pepper (876,000 - 970,000) and then the Red Savina Habanero (350,000 - 577,000) pepper.

I 'aint touching any of those with a forty foot pole.

I once ate a glob of PURE Habanero gel. You boil habaneros until all that remains is a gel, you keep adding water to where they keep boiling. Takes months or so I've heard.

Let's just say I couldnt taste/feel/think clearly for a week.

I loooooooooove spicy food. I pour pounds pepper onto nearly everything I eat, and some sort of hot sauce/ hot salsa/ tobasco if it will taste good. My favorite home cooked meal is easily curry, with HOT HOT HOT curry. There's no other way to eat it. <3 There aren't too many things I can think of that are too hot for me.

You donīt happen to mean Wasabi, huh? Because I happen to love that stuff.

The strongest Iīve eaten was probably a spoonfull of Tabasco. It burned in my throat for 25 minutes or even more. If I hadnīt had some water or milk afterwards, I wouldīve thrown up. I heard that milk helps preventing the pain.

Iīve also had some kind of red chili in my mouth but that only burned for 20 minutes or something. Not as much as the Tabasco above.

The spiciest food I've eaten has to be a habanero pepper.

I'm more accustomed to eating, however, spicy Indian food on a somewhat daily basis. Since I've gone back to college, I gotta eat their boring food.

But the spiciest Indian food that I'VE had has to be Nihari. My dad makes it a couple of times a year. It started out being popular among Muslims in Delhi but has since found a large following in Pakistan. Seeing how it's Indian food, the flavor is amazing. It takes 6-8 hours to make and in the past has been eaten in the morning before a day of intense labor(like coal mining). Like other spicy Indian foods, usually Nihari is eaten with yogurt to make it more mild and smooth.

I think the spiciest thing I have eaten must be the kebab in a roll that I bought not to long ago. I was drunk at the time, and my tongue probably wasn't able to taste things all to well, but damn, it was spicy as hell. I don't know what they put in those things, but yeah.. It was also the first time I tasted a kebab. It was spicy, but good.

Haa...Wasabi isn't a type of curry. Its a...well, I guess, you can have wasabi or wasabi flavoring in your curry. That would be pretty spicy, yeup unfortunately, its, well, only served in small doses for a reason XD

I did notice that my face became incredibly hot the first time I tired it. And that was pure Wasabi and nothing else. They said my face became red. But I got used to it later.

From Wikipedia...

* In Jackass: The Movie, one of Steve-O's stunts was to snort wasabi, which resulted in vomiting.

...anyone want to do a line of wasabi to test that theory?
