6-0-0-0? Make that 7-0-0-0

Look out Bruins, Here come the Sabres!

Now 8-0-0-0, tieng a team record! Canadiens fans, be afraid, be very afraid. These guys are good, SCARY good!

In other less important news, the Penguins got sued by Evgeni Malkin's Russian Superleague Team

And we're making it 10 tonight!

There is nowhere to run, Isles. Not even your crappy arena can save you from the kamikaze-attacking Sabres!

the Montreal and Boston game played only 59:58 -- boston fans weren't too happy about that penalty. However, I think video replay of penalties is going too far

Like the last 2 seconds meant anything. In that situation, you might as well call the game because it's impossible to score with that much time left.

Well, we won that game

Thrashers, it's high time you lived up to your nickname. Mind being on the losing end*?

Leafs vs. Canadiens seemed to be boring.

Like easy Leaf win.

They still won, but that was after the 7th shootout player.

And Aebischer was pretty great (47 saves)

Well what did you expect? The NHL is more corrupt than any other sporting league in North America, excluding illegal operations by organized crime syndicates. If you pay attention during the games, you'll notice many would-be penalties for one team go "unnoticed", while the officials penalize the shit out of the other team, sometimes for things they didn't do.

Oh, and Colin, are you forgetting when Vancouver scored with less than a second left recently?

More NHL news and notes to get this thread up to date:

Gerard Gallant fired as Blue Jackets head coach; replaced by (wait for it...) Ken Hitchcock.

Trent Yawney fired as Blackhawks head coach; replaced by Denis Savard

And in sadder news, Canadiens GM Bob Gainey's daughter is lost at sea.

My thoughts and prayers to the Gainey Family and the Montreal Canadiens organization.

And he won't have any luck because the Blues are dead in the water.

Montreal has St. Louis on March 10 and that's a great game to have so late in the year. Of course, starting to inch away now from that huge crowd in the East doesn't hurt either.

So Forsberg came back for two games, got 6 points, and once again, leaves with an injury.

Sucker

And thank you Red Wings for keeping Anaheim a point in front of us. On Stevie Y night, no less.

Sincerely, The Sabres

Meanwhile, on the Transaction wire:

Oilers claim Nedved off waivers from Flyers
Senators acquire Comrie from Coyotes
