Yeah, one thing people generally forget is that plastic near an open flame tends to become liquid.

Not the making a lamp part, the melting a weapon that shoots fire part. That's kinda like destroying a gun by shooting it.

I want a flame thrower! It tastes like burrrrrrrning! I've never made a do-it-yourself flame thrower, but I did make a rocket launcher. That was fun.... Kind of like those potato launcher things people make, except more powerful. And shooting things that explode. Instead of things that... potato.

Destroying a gun by shooting it. Hmm... that sounds like something else to try!

Accually you said that the tip melted resulting in the whole thing catching on fire.

I'm worried about the flames going up the stream and into the tank resulting in it exploading in your hands.
