Someone said that explosives don't work against zombies not likely it would be affective to the zombies and it could kill them, but it would take a couple to kill.

Considering zombies are a fictional lot, I say they're weak to exposed breasts and explosives, you do the math. (exploding bewbs yay!)

I prefer Tarale's idea. Shaun of the Dead is informative and teaches the real ways to kill zombies. Apparently you're not an expert on this subject like the rest of us, because you haven't seen Land of the Dead, Shaun of the Dead, nor have you played Killer7.

I haven't seen Land of the dead yet, but I have seen Shaun of the dead and its was funny, but I never heard of killer7 and it probably doesnt excists. Shaun of the dead was a comedy it had nothing to do with teaching us how to survive against zombies.

Just because Shaun of the Dead was a comedy doesn't mean it didn't have some valid zombie-fighting methods.

The Zombie Survival Guide was written by an expert, and its concepts are much more informative and real than the ones in those movies and that game. It even brings the point about Hollywood zombies up - and states that if you take approaches like the people in the movies take, you are likely to end up dead. If you have not read that book, you are missing out on important information.

Tarale is right though - smashing the Zombies' heads in could work, although getting at the brain with a bat would be difficult. The best melee weapon is a steel crowbar - not only is it useful as a tool, but it is lightweight and durable. And its curved, semi-sharpened edge allows you to do a stabbing motion through the eye-socket, straight into the brain.

Most kill by shrapnel. The odds of some shrapnel getting through the skull are slim and none. They're good for blowing through doors or scattering mobs of zombies, however.

Most people have some kind of reason for the names they choose. And if he's so interested in zombies and that kind of thing, you'd think he'd get that knowledge from somewhere. But he claims it doesn't come from movies or games? >> Sounds like BS to me.

Oh where is a diamond edged titanium katana when you need one. Only power non-shrapnel explosives and chopping off their head would work. Of course I wonder if they could "die" from starvation too.

Actually I think the same thing watching zombie movies. There's not really that much to be afraid of. I mean, they're slow and stupid. It's was the way with the Child's Play movies. He's the size of a chiuaua, just pick him up and unscrew his head.

Yeah, say that when a crowd of ghouls is approaching you, moreso if you need to fight back and/or it's in a narrow alley. You'd probably be in a state of fear, and unable to think properly. Ignorance in humans is the undead's strongest ally, intelligence is their greatest weakness.

As it is important: here is what the ZSG has to say on "Hollywood Zombies"

I see that setz has already been at the Winchester for quite some time, to be bringing up the topic of urination.

... and it's vinegar for jellyfish stings.

That's not what my chemistry teacher told me. (This was the same chemistry teacher that would throw fake rocks at her students, and rig a 2-liter bottle of mountain dew to squirt you when you open it)

So looks like there is a game called killer7. I looked at the screen and really crappy graphics. Didn't look like it did all that well.

well, it did win quite a few awards, such as "GameCube Game of the Year" which isn't saying much. Some that're somewhat amusing are "Best "Holy Crap" moments" "Best Game No One Played" or possibly "Most Gratuitous Use of F------ Swearing".

I didn't even know those were categories, what's with game mags these days :/

Okay, but as a Surf Lifesaver (who may potentially have to deal with Jellyfish stings) I know that it's Vinegar required for some species. Most notably it's needed for the Chironex Box Jellyfish; as the acetic acid in vinegar disables any cells that have not yet fired their venom.

The goal of first aid in the case of a jellyfish sting is to get the tentacles off without them firing more venom. Urine may help "rinse" the area and get off the tentacles, but it's believed it may set off more venom in some species. Water and Vinegar are the only two things I am aware of that are recommended, and Vinegar is considered essential when dealing with the Chironex Box Jellyfish as its sting is often fatal.

Haven't you heard the song "Come to Australia, you might Accidentally Get Killed" ?? I know the vinegar thing cause I might have to someday

All our critters are poisonous or deadly
But at least we don't have zombies.
