Don't mean to be pushy or anything, just anxious to know how far in progress it is. I know you must of a lot of things to do or maybe it's just a lack of interest or just taking a long time, whatever. I, and some other peple, are just curious on how's it going. Even if it's been dropped or canceled, oh well, no harm done.

Well, i should probably answer this considering that im the one writing the editor.
Ive written a bunch of base code for it, but as far as functionality, its not functional at all at the moment. All the gui's and research are done, so its up to me to put it all together. Ive been really busy with work all summer (new job), and now that schools back, im still working the same job part time and attending school full time. As you can see my spare time is limited, and even that is split between many facets of my life. What time i do have for hacking is also split between Dark Prophecy, SMRPG editor, and a couple secret projects, so i wouldnt expect it anytime soon. What ill probably do is code it all in a week or 2 when ive got a lot of free time (Maybe xmas time... who knows). I know its tough, but i ask you guys to be patient with me. If there is someone out there who has (readable) source code for an editor, it would probably speed up development a lot if i could see it so i dont have to re-invent the wheel. |

Ah, nice, thanks for that information. We're happy to know that it's still in the works and we all appreciate it. So is it just you working on the project?

I don't really have any constructive information to give. But I just had to voice my appreciation. A full-on Super Mario RPG Editor would really hit the spot. I would most certainly take full advantage of your editor and try to make something fun to play.
Currently, I am working on a Mario RPG using a totally different PC program. Its nice, but I know if I could edit the actual SNES game, I could create something that really feels and plays like the great RPG that is Super Mario RPG. |
