Well, for one, we'd probably be 'yahooing' things instead. And that just does not sound right at all. Happy birthday to the king of search engines.

Anytime google changes its picture, just keep your mouse cursor over the image and the alternate text will show up.

I loved Yahoo back in the day... you know, 8 years ago. XD Actually, I still use it a lot for sports purposes, but aside from that...

I hate Yahoo. It's so bloated and annoying... ugh. Google and I are <3 because of how crisp and clean the page is.

Yahoo used to be very clean. Then they decided to change front page styles again... and again... and again. Each time, more and more crap was added.

You can go play in the Wayback Machine to see Yahoo! back when it was a nice clean simple interface, and searches were an entirely different thing.

Google's changed a lot of stuff -- back before Google, I remember you had to submit links to search engines, and they were categorised a certain way -- and Yahoo! never added anything / fixed their broken links.

I love Google. It's not often I can't find information via either it or Wikipedia

Google is <3, plain and simple. Even though they keep developing new stuff, the search is its bread and butter. And it's easy.

I don't see how dogpile is better. I think google gives better results than the other engines searched by dogpile. Why would you want to be bogged down with the extra results? Maybe if you can't find something on google you could try dogpiling it and maybe find it but how often does that happen?

Outside of Google, I'm afraid I haven't found that I can find as relevant results... I pretty much exclusively Google and have done so for many years.

That said, they use Dogpile at my former high school a lot... I just don't get why; I always find what I need faster with Google...

I do not specifically see what is wrong with relying on five services instead of one service. Google does a lot of things that I use, like gmail and such. But for searches, I find Dogpile gets me more good topical results.

Fixed.

Anyway, I <3 Google too, it's even my Home Page, so when I open the browser Google pops up, even though I won't search anything. Then, when I need to search something I click "New window" and a new window with google appears...

I ♥ Google.
