| I'm looking for a more secure method of encrypting passwords than MD5 to be used in a PHP university project. I've been recommended SHA-256 as good way to go.
Does anybody know any good, free ways of implementing SHA-256 hashing in my project? |

The second one I found at the top of a google search, but it appears to be copyrighted and not available under the GPL. I could always write the algorthm in myself, but I've got my hands full with getting a basic board system implemented quickly so I can address new features and ideas that are a requirement of the project. Thanks! |
