Excuse me for being gone so long. My forums broke down, and I had to rebuild them. I actually got more done on those boards than I planned.
Originally posted by Shane -26- Thank you for your support. Anyway, I guess I'll leave the Goombas how they are. As for the new cement blocks - which, might I add, are extremely pallette flexible - I'll try and work on them and improve the graphics. I'll send you guys a screenshot when I'm done. Overall, I still need to work on this hack a lot more. Since winter break is coming up, I should be able to get a lot done. |

[blah blah blah, editted because I've sorted out the problem, so we don't have to worry.]
Don't give up on me yet, people. I think I'm getting an increasing amount of skill at organizing a hack. (edited by Blue Warrior on 01-12-06 11:04 PM) (edited by Blue Warrior on 01-14-06 04:19 PM) |

Meh.
Screenshots: A bit linear. This would have been a good hack two years ago, but nowaday, one uses ExGFX and... some more creative level design. Nothing bad about that either though. Page: You really should watch your pick in colours. The bright blue and the cyan together look just awful. Still, with some work... this could become good enough. |

blackhole89, I believe their issue was with ExGFX file number conflictions. They could set up a system of which ones every designer could use, and repair any "accidents" that might happen. Although I do agree that this hack needs to be a little more creative. Except for the second screen with the colored blocks, nothing really seems to catch my eye in a positive manner. At least fix that horrible ice blue pipe background. | |||

I realize the pipe background was a large mistake, as I've already gotten a few complaints about it. When I finish World 2, I'll implement all the exgfx needed to make it at least graphics-worthy. I'll most likely end up making some of it myself. We'll see.
Also, I suppose I might not be that good at level design. I'll try my best and use my imagination. In fact, I think I'm getting better ideas than like I did in World 1, so there should be improvement. As for the website, I seriously need to get to updating that this weekend. I'll think up a better design while I'm at it and finish the missing pages.
No need to rush. Haste makes waste. Besides, I'm a little behind as well. EDIT: I've updated the mini-site. (edited by Blue Warrior on 01-16-06 01:06 AM) |
