This is like the idea that a halo-ish game might be directed by the head of the Halo games and sold for the wii. Don't get your hopes up.

A possibility? Yes. But Rockstar/Take-Two never seemed interested in porting GTA over to the GameCube so I'd be highly surprised to see them do so for the Wii.

I could see them developing some stuff for the system but GTA... eh.

Yeah, I believe its possible but I personally would hate to see such a stupid game go on such a great console.

I wonder what minigam will be jabbering about on the Wii version.

With that wand and all.

Well, if they make a GTA style game I hope it's something unique and not lolweportedthisgametoallconsoles.

I still have to play any of the GTA's past GTA2...

I totally agree with you Ailure, I think if they do the controller must be used in a flawless way, if not......FAILURE.

You guys are dumb. Don't you know that as of a few months ago, Rockstar is not releaseing GTA first and exclusive on Sony?

They are focusing on releaseing further games in the series first on Xbox360, and later PS3, and even possibly Wii was talked about.

Sorry Sony, your going down. Rockstar was your last support.

What makes them dumb?

Now, to say that Rockstar games are the main reason people buy Playstations is a dumb thing to say. What about Nippon Ichi Software or Square-Enix? What about Sony itself, who makes games like Legend of Dragoon and God of War? There are plenty of promising games that are coming out for the Playstation 3; already preorders for the system are selling well.

Now, the X360 doesn't even deserve to be mentioned. That thing is doomed to be a failure. It's inferior to the PS3 and the Wii. There's nothing that great about it! It doesn't offer the sort of gameplay that the Wii will; and a lot of what the PS3 offers you have to spend more money on accessories for the X360 to get, that you end up paying more than what the PS3 costs.

I can see GTA coming to the Wii. I hope not, though - those games suck.

er, Legend of Dragoon? You're actually trying to use a mediocre PS1 RPG to defend Sony?

I'm not trying anything. Legend of Dragoon was a good game; and I am using it as an example. Have you played it?

Yes, in fact I have played it. Suffered through the entire first disc hoping it'd get enjoyable somewhere along the way.

It didn't.

And even if it had, I don't see how a PS1 game would really help Sony out right about now. Were there no other PS2 games they made?

Yes, actually, PS1 games would help Sony. It helps Sony in the same way that the NES or SNES helps Nintendo. Many good things coming from a company usually results in loyalty.

However, they have made plenty of good games for the PS2. I just enjoyed Legend of Dragoon enough to mention it. Sucks to be you, as I and many others loved it. To each his own.

It doesn't matter if some game companies are no longer exclusive to the Sony game consoles. As long as they're making games for them, they'll still draw a huge crowd to them. Seeing as the X360 isn't worth the money and the Wii couldn't handle the more graphic intensive games, the PS3 will be a major competitor.

But does that spell the end of Microsoft, with their inferior system? Probably not. For example, many people are looking forward to buying the Wii. People are willing to try something new from Nintendo, even though their Game Cube had the crappiest games. Not that there weren't good games, though. I liked Skies of Arcadia. Oh wait, that was originally for the Dreamcast. Well, even I want a Wii after that POS.

Really, though, the PS3 is probably the only system with ensured popularity. For sure, it won't be like the Game Cube.

"more graphic intensive"?

Can you honestly tell me there's even a meaningful difference between PS2 and Xbox? We've gotten far enough that the small difference there is, in general, remains a minor factor at best, and Xbox to Xbox 360 wasn't anywhere near as big of an improvement graphically as, oh... SNES to N64. Similarly, there's a bigger difference between SNES and PSX than between Gamecube and PS2 - graphics comparisons are becoming a weaker argument as time goes on.

My apathy about graphics is furthered by my small TV...

What the...? The Xbox 360 has a lot of good games. It doesn't have much in the way of RPGs, but it excells in most other regions. Saint's Row and Dead Rising are two recent ones, with many others past, present and future. Elder Scrolls 4 is available for it as well. It's just wrong to say it is inferior to the PS3 and Wii without giving any explanation; the only one you seemed to mention is the accessories issue. Which is valid to some extent - but remember: not everyone is going to be using these accessories.

What does this have to do with anything? I never brought this subject up. Yes, though, there is a noticeable difference.

How is this even relevant? Gamers could care less about how much a company has improved its gaming system when it is inferior to another. I do believe that the X360 wasn't much of an improvement, though. There is quite a difference between the PS2 and PS3.

Sorry, explaining why never occurred to me, lol. Well, simply put, high end computers can outperform the "next-generation" consoles, except the PS3.

Lol, why compare the SNES to the PSX instead of the N64 to the PSX? I know this doesn't really have anything to do with what we're talking about, but I find it pretty funny that the N64 looked horrid, even when it came out later than the Playstation.

There is less of a difference between Gamecube and PS2 than between N64 and PSX, though. However, there is no doubt that the Game Cube doesn't perform as well.

Okay then, you win in your case. Sony's system is going to suck for you because it's priced so high and doesn't even offer as big as a difference from the PS2 as that of the Wii and Game Cube. The N64 probably looks as good as the Game Cube for you. For those of us who have at least decent televisions or 56" widescreens and surround sound systems, though, we would enjoy the amazing graphics and sound that the PS3 offers. We get a system that out-performs the best of personal computers and other consoles for less than it costs to buy a high end computer or an X360 with all of its accessories.

However, the Wii looks promising when it comes to gameplay. But for something like that, you can't judge it until you've tried it. Nintendo does have something good here, but they could screw it up with horrible games, or maybe even the system doesn't work as well as we believe it to. In a way, it's sort of like the Dreamcast. We all thought it was going to be good, but it didn't sell.

This is starting to turn into a Sony versus Nintendo discussion, which wasn't my intention. There was really only one thing that I wanted to say: To say that Rockstar games not being exclusive to Sony's consoles would spell the death of Sony would be dead wrong.

I'm only going to reply to one last thing from our little debate, so this doesn't keep going further off topic.

Ok, now you're just being retarded. I'm guessing you've never played games on a 13" TV? I have. Rarely have I been able to play on anything bigger, in fact (other than a shitty 19"). There is still a difference, but unless you're being a graphics whore, you won't notice much difference between consoles of the same generation. The difference between an N64 and Gamecube is still quite noticable.

Not really arguing about that, though I wish you could've come up with a better example than Legend of Dragoon for your reason.

Like it or not, most Final Fantasy games will probably end up on PS3 only, as far as I know (some exceptions, but the main series hasn't shown any signs of moving). I'd expect that to help Sony considerably.

I do indeed think is possible, the chances are low but I think it *is* possible, but I don't think is rockstar, I thought it was Nintendo that didn't wanted the game.
Now I'm confused
