That is funny shit. I STILL remember watching that pilot and thinking "Wait, WHY was Yugi's grandad beat up when he lost? Did Kaiba tell his bodyguards to go punch him or something?" 
The general apathy in all of their voices also adds to the humor. It goes from "melo-dramatic" to "ehh-matic"
