Ahh.... there's nothing like catching up on something you missed, by listening/watching a Podcast later.

I get a Video Podcast of an Aussie TV show (highly, HIGHLY recommend this one) called Chaser's War on Everything. Because the show is on on a Friday night I miss it a bit, but it's good that I can have a Video Podcast of it for later.

I also get a Podcast of some stuff on a radio station, JJJ -- I get a podcast of Hack, a drivetime Current Affairs radio show with a focus on youth issues. And I get a podcast of Dr. Karl, who discusses science and stuff.

Dr. Karl's stuff is really interesting, you get to learn some cool stuff about science, presented in a fairly friendly way.

What stuff do you Podcast / Video Podcast?

No video ones, because I use 'em on an iPod Shuffle (the lack of any display kind of complicates matters) but I get a bunch of NPR programs, including a few from KCRW (Morning Becomes Eclectic, KCRW's Music Exchange, Good Food, All Songs Considered, NPR's Sunday Puzzle, KEXP's Song of the Day, some music podcast from KUT (University of Texas station, not unlike KCRW's affiliation with Santa Monica), All the News that Isn't (a segment from What'da Ya Know?) and Wait, Wait, Don't Tell Me! among others). Also, EPL Talk, ESPN's Poker Edge, the New York Times headlines (around five minute summary of the Times), the Writer's Almanac (just because it's Garrison Fuckin' Keillor), Countdown (Keith Olbermann's show, that's just one segment), and NOW (David Brannamalamadingdong hosts it now, although I still associate it with Bill Moyers... yeah, the PBS show). There's probably a couple more I'm forgetting, but I'll check at home.

I tried to give a few others shots (World Soccer Daily, The Smithsonian Folkways Collection, Zen and the Art of Triathlon), but I just don't have the patience; WSD's their two-hour show, in full, Folkways is 28 hour-long episodes that aren't being updated, and ZenTri seriously needs an editor... the installments push an hour and a half, bi-weekly (I believe), and there's WAY too much dead air (to be fair, that usually comes when he's recording while training).

Just for the record -- I don't watch my Video Podcasts on an iPod. My iPod is not capable of doing so.

I watch them on my Mac I'm pretty sure you can watch them on Windows too.

It's not portable, but that's not what I wanted anyway -- I just wanted to rely on the Podcast to remember to download cause I forget to watch the show...

Yes, but you can't very well do that in a car on the way to work. (ahem)

Meh... I catch the train... I don't think I want to be the one person on the train staring at my iPod watching Chaser's War. I'd look like a tool
