| I'm wondering if a feeling I've had for a while about something might be envy. The only thing is is that the feeling seems to have been obfuscated by other things and now I'm not so sure and I'm somewhat confused about it. When you feel envy, what do you feel, what do you set your focus on? The person envied, do you look at the person, do you contemplate that person? And what do you think about yourself when you envy? | |||

Well, I suppose that's the penalty for being vague. Unfortunately, I don't wish to be any more specific about it right now. Um, you say "been up too long" being the cause; was there a time when you were able to sleep and shake it off? |

Hum, I define envy as the act of wanting something you don't have, that you know someone else has. Therefore you envy him/her. That's all. 
There are envy levels, if you are at level 10, then you have a problem...  |

| I don't think I ever really had big problems with jealousy till recently. Seems that developing feelings for people makes you act crazy.
As this is something I've never experienced huge amounts of before, I'm not good at dealing with it... so unfortunately I have no advice for how you should deal with it either. I just try to distract myself from it. |

| Well, to help we actually need to know the issue in context. As, when you envy someone because s/he had a better cellphone, you buy it or even one that is better.
If you envy someone because he can compose music better than you (my case), you keep trying or just remake songs that are already there (my choice). If you envy someone because s/he has a strong relationship with someone you love, well, then you can fight for it or try finding someone better. Still, maybe I'm far away from the point.
