That reminds me when I used salt instead of sugar, on my Chocolate flavored milk, as we would say in México: "¡Guácala!".

Anyway, Milk is way better than water to keep hungry away, I mean, once I didn't eat anything on three days, but tons of milk. Not because of lack of food, but because there wasn't anything I would like to eat...

I'd argue otherwise with the milk / water thing.

The water's better for you. You should really drink 8 glasses of water a day (but apparently nobody ever does). It's great for you. Wonderful for your skin, too.

Milk has its benefits too, but it's not as vital to you as water is.

Just nobody seems to actually like water, least that's the only explanation I can offer for the fact that everyone balks at the idea of drinking some....

Er, yes, water is better, and we NEED it, and we don't need milk (At least since being 24 years old).

But milk has stuff water doesn't to keep you unhungry, that's what I was saying. Try drinking a glass of water when you are hungry, and it can even make you more hungry (And only fill you up), while a glass of milk would actually kill the hungryness quite a bit.

But I guess drinking milk instead of eating would be a bad habit...

Oh, a little bit of milk would be good. But I wouldn't go drink a litre of it to keep the hunger at bay. I'd have maybe a glass, then some water.

I'd probably have juice before milk though.

Besides, neither is as cheap as water either

If you are in lack of food, you would.

But aside from that, there's nothing better and more refreshing than water when you are thirsty! Try it!

(Yup, those Gatorade ads are liars...)

That tastes a lot like skim milk... I like skim. It's light and refreshing at the same time, as well as being much better for you than whole or even 2%.

I have but one word to say in response to that: ELECTROLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLYTES.

More seriously, when I find I've got no food, I usually have some emergency rations to keep me going... I have a near-endless supply of teabags to give me energy and warm me up a bit, and there's a crate of dry ramen under my bed for when I absolutely need something in my stomach. It's useful for all-nighters. Not only that, but I can't cook ramen in the microwave to save my life, so eating it dry (or using a flat-iron to boil the water) is a great choice.

Electrolytes are awesome.

Powerade / Gatorade are great when you're sick and have trouble even getting liquids down, cause even if you can't drink a lot, you get some electrolytes when you do drink something. You should of course drink lots of water too when you're sick but sometimes when I'm real sick I find that hard to do.

They're also great as the last thing you drink before bed when you've been boozing Those electrolytes are awesome.

You mean 8 ounces? It's not exactly the same thing. In fact, I think that measures to one cup.

But yes, I would have to agree water is better than you. By far. Milk is full of nutrients, most of which you need as a baby, that's why it's great to have around. Even though water doesn't contain any nutrients whatsoever, though, it's extremely vital to have it around. Any of you who got at least a C in science would likely know that your body contains about 70% water. Without it, your body can die of dehydration, whether you even ate or not.

So, yeah, I think water is most definitely the dominant edible liquid. Milk and A&W root beer are fairly close behind, however.

No, I mean "8 glasses" although I admit that that recommendation is vague, that's what all the media says. It's about 2 litres. Which probably doesn't mean anything to you, but I dunno what that is in US Customary Units (YAY METRIC SYSTEM).

I don't even know what an ounce is, but if you say that 8 is a cup, then no, that's definitely not it.

Just wanted to notice, milk DOES contain water...

ps - Yeah, I know all beberages contain it to some point, I'm just saying, as long as you keep drinking anything, you won't dehydrate... Or I am wrong?

Some stuff contains things that are designed to dehydrate you, so you'll drink more of it. I'm pretty sure coke is one of those things.

Coffee dehydrates you, I know that for sure.

And alcohol certainly dehydrates you

Oh, yep, my error was being way too general, but anyway, since coke dehydrates you (Pepsi, Magecola, etc.) does someone know why does it makes you feel unthirsty?

It's because of the sodium in the drink. Salt makes you thirsty, of course. The carbonation also creates an unpleasant feeling in my mouth that makes me want to rinse it away. Hence, thirst.

I finally got my money from CSN. So I was finally going to stock up and... guess what?

I fell asleep and didn't woke up until 21:30 (store closes 21:00). And since I wouldn't be able to stand another 12 hours without food, I ordered pizza.
