Lily and Pommy were hanging just outside the Central Tower. It had been sometime since she saw Alizabe being carried out by Sukasa, as well as several officials going down to investigate. Lily looked up at the darkening sky as she leaned on the stone wall. Lily: Man... I still can't believe I haven't found any Core Parts... Pommy: Kupo! Lily: Hmm... But.. I guess I got to meet a few more people.. Pommy: Kupo-po. Lily: But I didn't get to come up with good nicknames today.. Pommy: .... kupo. Lily: I wonder if Maxy's got some Core Parts in his shop I can borrow.. Or atleast something I can get Elec Minerals from.. ------------------------- Spekkio: Are you planning to get chewed out again? Arminas: She's got a different look on her face. Besides, I'm just walking through. I'm not saying anything. Clara: ... Who's there? Arminas: Er.. Sorry. Not here to disturb you or anything. Clara: I don't mind. This place isn't mine or anything, so I won't tell you to leave. Arminas: Thanks. Clara turns around and steps closer to the wall. Arminas can see that she's looking out the thick glass. Clara: I can see straight out into the ocean.. It's so beautiful.. Arminas walks forward, slowly approaching the wall. Arminas: It looks like a whole different world.... This place is like an underwater observatory. |

| OOC: I also took a very different route... much longer than just crossing that water pit. but yeah, five minutes is a bit long, especially when Sukasa had been in the maze for a whiel a knew where he was going quite well.

| Max fell into his old chair with a thud. His rear still hurt, having been thrown out of the tower onto it. More than once actually. He flopped over a table littered with mechanical parts, pieces from a grandfather clock that sat disemboweled in the corner. A small unlit smelter took up nearly a quarter of the room, with a wide pipe that funneled its fumes up and out through the roof. Up a nearby flight of stairs was a clean, polished counter with a vintage cash register on it - effectively masking whatever disaster was on the lower level at any given moment.
Max : You know, I was actually compelled there to be heroic. And then I get drug out by my hair. Pedro : You wouldn't have gotten drug by your hair if you'd let them drag you by your overalls... The armor sat down on a different chair, which was many times smaller than it. Moments later it exploded into splinters and left its occupant on the floor. Max : This is bogus... I was hoping to sell at least some of those minerals and get this place cleaned up. Now with that lizard screwing around in the labyrinth, we won't be getting back in there for a while... Pedro : I understand... I'll make sure to sit on the floor from now on. Max : Now we can't even work on the dimensionsplitter. We needed that adamantium to develop a strong enough casing... Pedro : Don't worry. I'm in no rush. Still though... couldn't we speak with one of the Linkers? They might know something about my condition that we don't... Max : *sigh* ...do you have any idea how hard it was to trick the Silver Guild into granting me access to the labyrinth? For all intents and purposes, you're my Guardian Beast. If they know that you're actually from the labyrinth itself, they might see you as a Stray, and terminate you on the spot. If we could find someone that knows about the summoning process that isn't affiliated with the Craftknights, we might be able to figure out why you're here, but for now we have to sit tight. Pedro : Understood... Max : I have to have this stupid clock built by next Thursday... maybe I should just give that old fart his money back and concentrate on getting back inside... |

Arminas: She ain't so mean. Spekkio shrugged. Arminas: ... TREASURE! Spekkio: Wha--? Spekkio was nearly run over as Arminas dove off the platform he was standing on. He landed right next to a treasure box, and immediately opened it up. Arminas: Yessssss! This has got to be iron ore! ---------------------------------- Lily: It's getting kinda late, Pommy. Think we should head back to the Silver Guild? Pommy: Kupo. Lily: Nah, there's still plenty of time to chill out. Let's go find Maxy's shop. |

The city was as busy, as the tournament was started and many shopkeepers talked about the fight, the apprentices and betting, who was going to win. Shopkeeper: I think this year is going to be tough. Customer: How do you mean, tough? Shopkeeper: Well you know, I havent been able to sell my products so much that I could pay my bills to the Guild. And theyre not giving me more time anymore. As they spoke, a bangaa runned in and forth the shop, moving boxes and other gizmos and gadgets, sweeping the dust from the windows and telling the customers the places, where they could find what they were looking for. He was dressed in a brown leather and cloth shirt and pants, which were a little protective, althought they maintained the flexibility. He also had tough leather gloves and cloth, wrapped around his foots. His name was Denn and he was a craftknight apprentice. A small neklace bounced on his chest, representing a broken sword. It was made from blue gem, and it was called "Mark of Punishment". Apprentices often make mistakes, hmm? Sometimes they forget something or even spoil their masters creations. Often they get lectured and punished, but thats it. The "Mark of Punishment" was the ultimate punishment in the society of the Craftknights. If a apprentice was declared guilty in some unforgiveable act, his/her master made him a neklace from a ore, which was really common in the community and not really hard to get. It had a special kind of treatment. As it was hot, it reacted as normal iron. You could mangle it, cut it, do anything what you could do to a normal hot iron. But when it cooled, it started glowing and could not be broken. As the glow would fade, so would the neklace be destroyed. An apprentice, who had a "Mark of Shame" could not be a apprentice to any Craftknight nor he was allowed to make any weapons for others. The bangaa fumbled and crashed on the floor, dropping all the metal parts. Shopkeepper: Well, Denn, I think your work time is over. *sigh* Denn: Im... So sorry... Ill pick these up... Shopkeeper: No need, I think I can handle them. Just go now. Denn was a apprentice, until he blew up his former masters workshop. It was an accident, but they sought it wasnt. Denn blamed his bad luck for this. He was declared guilty. The young bangaa walked out of the shop and kicked some rock on the street. Things werent getting any better. Suddenly, a small white bird flew on his shoulder. It looked kind of a pidgeon, but it had small horns and red stripes. ???: How was the day at the work? Denn: Bad. You should know that, Lippit. The bird shaked it feathers and tightened its claws, so it wouldnt fall. Together they walked towards the dungeon entrance, just to hear all the news from the guard. Denn had followed the tournament from its beginning and was a little sad, that he couldnt join. | Even though he'd only been asleep for about two hours, Sukasa was feeling rather refreshed. Stirring slowly, Sukasa eventually gathered his thoughts enough to open his eyes and check the time.
"Five? Well, Guess I was asleep for a while, there." Getting up, Sukasa shook off the fog in his mind, and got up. Straightening himself out, Sukasa walked off to find Luminara. He found her in his room, tangled in the now completely disassembled ball of yarn. Laughing softly, Sukasa came over and helped Luminara out of the yarn. "Hey, I was thinking i'd just make some noodles or something. You want me to make some for you?" "Sure!" Replied Luminara., "But what about Alizabe?" She Asked "I can always make some for her.. but I don't want to wake her up right now. she's still sleeping." Answered Sukasa. As Luminara nodded, and resumed playing with the yarn, Sukasa walked into the kitchen, and pulled out some minute noodles. Very careful to be as quiet as possible, Sukasa began making the noodles, although there wasn't much he could do about the smell of them as be made them. (edited by Sukasa on 09-28-06 11:29 AM) |

well time to schavenge the body for it's hide and useful stuff (Bones and blood) For 10 minuits dranes some of the dragons blood into a water contanier, then for 20 minuits he skins part of the dragon. After he cuts some of the dragon meat for Esu, then he searches the carcass for useful artifacts, and useful shaped bones. About 30 minuits later he finds 2 sword shaped bones, then ho goes to the mouth of the dragon and pulls out 20 teeth to be shaped into kunai. |

Officer: These kids! They just won't listen! The officer that was telling Lily and the others to not proceed any further was standing behind Vladimir. Officer2: Alright, kid. Hand over what you just got. Officer: Wh-what? Everyone's allowed to keep what they find in the labyrinth. Those are the rules.. Officer2: And how many times have we had people not listen, and then get injured? Officer: This place is a danger.. Officer2: But when we deem.. Why am I arguing? The second officer, a very tall man, turned towards Vlad and holds out a hand. Officer2: I'm going to have to confiscate what you acquired here. This area is off limits until we get it repaired, as we have told everyone countless times. ----------------------- Lily: Let's see... Where do you think Maxy's shop is, Pommy? Pommy: Kupo-po. Lily: You're right.. I'm supposed to be a treasure hunter! Let's see.... uhmm.. Lily was walking around the commercial area on the first level of Wystern. She was not sure if she was supposed to be on the second level of Wystern or not, as she forgot to ask Max. Lily: We'll find him. I'm sure of it. *nod* ----------------------- Meanwhile, Arminas was already back at the Silver Guild. Kunio had taught him the technique for a sword (Arminas: "Novice Knife"? What kind of lame name is that?). Arminas wasted no time in rushing off to forge a sword. Arminas: I can't wait to see the finished product. Spekkio: Don't get your hopes up. You've never made something before, so it's bound to suck. Arminas: Thanks for your vote of confidence  |

| Alizabe's rest was not peaceful by any stretch of the imagination. She tossed and turned because of her dreams, nightmares. Her dreams weren't set in this world, she didn't know where it was set, but it didn't seem that different then their world.
An open sky appeared in front of Alizabe, two large creatures flew around each other. As they came into focus, Alizabe noticed one was Dracoon, but he was much larger. The other one was smaller, almost the size of a man, but he wasn't human. He had two giant dragon wings coming from his back and had a mane. Red dragon scales covered the mans body except for his face and head, long hair flowed behind him in the wind. Finally a tail gracefully moved behind the man. Dracoon: "Demon, you dare to destroy my tribe and then force me to chase you down!?" Dragon Lord: "I am no demon, I am a dragon lord, it is my right to decide which dragons deserve to live and your 'tribe' doesn't. When I kill you, the genocide will be complete!" Dracoon changed direction and charged the dragon lord, crossing a large area of sky almost instantly. A blast of fire exploded from Dracoon's mouth and consumed the dragon lord, but Dracoon didn't slow his charge. As the blast of fire faded, the dragon lord was still there, but Dracoon had expected this and flipped in the air, his tail lashed down at the dragon lord. Dragon Lord: "HAHAHAHA!" The dragon lord had grabbed Dracoon's tail, but Dracoon had a smile on his face... well as much as a dracoon could smile. Dracoon: "I'll show you what a true dragon lord is." A brilliant flash of light expanded from Dracoon, and Alizabe woke up halfway through a fall to the floor... Alizabe landed on the floor with a rather loud crash, the glass fell down a little past her head and shattered. As if Dracoon picked up on her suffering, she recognized his laugh. Dracoon: "What are you doing trying to sleep in the air? I can't even do that!" Alizabe: *moans* "Uuugh... Jerk..." Dracoon: "What's that? You'll have to speak up if you want to be heard!" |

| Denn was walking towards the dungeon entrance, sametime stuffing his neklace underneath his shirt. The guards werent so eager to talk to a person, carrying something like that.
Lippit: It still glows through your shirt. Denn: I know, I know. But I dont have nothing better now. Lippit let loose her grip from Denns shoulder and flew high in the air. She did few circles above Denns head before flying away. Denn sighed. It wasnt the first time she had left him there. ???: Stop him! Denn waked from his toughts and suddenly, a man collided into him. They both fell down. The man rise up in fear and started to run fast away. There were several guards, running behind him and shouting. Denns head was spinning from the impact, when one of the guards helped him up. Guard: Are you all ok? Denn: Yeah, jusst a little dissy. Who was that? Guard: Him? He was some burglar who broke into some apprentices inn room. Excuse me, I have to catch those other guards now. The guard saluted, smiled and went after the guards. Denn cleaned his clothes from the dust. Suddenly, a ray of light hit his eye. It came from a small object from the ground. Denn examined it carefully. Denn: A key? This probably dropped when I collided with that man. Maybe I should take this to some guard. Denn took the key and put it into his pocket. It didnt weight much. He began to walk there where he should be gone in the first place. Dungeon entrance. There was a guard, after all and he could ask about the key and, of course, talk about the tournament. Sukasa heard Alizabe fall whilst he was warming the water for the noodles. startled, he jumped and spun around. Putting down the packet of noodles, Sukasa came out of the kitchen, and around to Alizabe. Unfortunately, he hadn't heard the glass fall, and almost stepped on it, just seeing it at the last moment... but still too late. Stepping down, Sukasa stepped on a medium-sized piece of glass. Ouch. Sukasa winced, then stepped backwards. By this time, Luminara had heard the crash, and came out to find out what had happened. Seeing Sukasa gingerly pulling the glass out of his foot, Luminara ran into the kitchen and grabbed a dustpan and brush, and started to clena up the glass on the floor, finishing as Sukasa finished pulling the glass out of his foot. "Owww...." Said Sukasa. "Damn... Hey, you okay?" He finished, looking at Alizabe as he helped her up off the floor, "That was quite the fall. Um, anyways, if your'e awake, are you hungry? I was about to make some supper." He said, smiling softly. |

| Alizabe sat on the couch, half laying on it. Her stomach growled.
Alizabe: "Heheh.... Yeah, but I think I'll make Dracoon go get something for laughing at me." Dracoon: "What now?" Alizabe: "Go get some smoked eel." Dracoon half frowned half sighed. Alizabe: "And get me some clothes too, I need to take a shower." Dracoon: "Fine, fine, fine. I guess I'll be nice to you since you can't probably stand up." Alizabe relaxed on the couch as Dracoon left, on his way to get food and clothes apparently. |

"Yes, you're all right, or yes, you're hungry, or yes to both?" Sukasa grinned. "At any rate, the shower is just down the hall, round the corner." Pointing to where the shower way (well, the corner Alizabe had to take), Sukasa winced. "Anyways, if you give me a moment, I just need to take care of my foot, I cut it on some glass  "
As Sukasa got up, a small golden necklace showing three dolphins jumping together fell out of his shirt. Sukasa barely noticed, but he did and he inwardly hoped that Alizabe would notice it too, although he wasn't going to make any effort to have her notice it. Wavering lsightly from the fact that he couldn't put as much weight as normal on his left foot, he limped into the bathroom, and pulled out a larger-sized Band-Aid, leaving the door open because he had no reason to close it. |

Alizabe: "That necklace looked cool, where'd you get it?" Alizabe didn't want to move enough to look at Sukasa, so she just sat there. Dracoon flew through the busy town, heading for the house. Making it there in no time, Dracoon grabbed a bag of Alizabe's clothes and then grabbed it with his foot. Leaving the house he headed towards the fish stall they had went to earlier. He was waiting there, roasting some eels. Dracoon: "I'll need two of those eels if you don't mind." Shopkeeper: "Eh!? Ya can talk? Well, ya got money?" Dracoon nodded as he held a few coins in his foot. He dropped them on the table and picked up the eels by the sticks, rushing back to Sukasa's place. |

Sukasa was glad, if only to be able to talk about why the necklace was important to him. The reason why wasn't really all that nice though. After applying the Band-Aid, Sukasa came back and poured the noodles into the pot on the stove, before turning to Alizabe when she spoke to him. "This? I got it on vacation in the south. The three dolphins on it represent 'Ohana', which translates to 'Family'." Said Sukasa, tears forming in his eyes. "Now it's one of the only links I have to the rest of my family... They died when I was seven. It was a train accident, a derailment that sent half the train my family was on into a lake, more specifically, Spurn Lake near Eastyrn. They were in the cabin fro our family, but I'd gone to another car to play with a friend I met on the train. That's when the train derailed... My family's car was one of the ones on the bottom... There were no survivors from that car." Said Sukasa, conviction in his voice, which held a wavering tone. "Since then, I've lived on my own mostly, with a little help from the neighbors. So, I basically just keep this to myself... I always told myself I'd give it to the first person I felt I coudl really, really connect to." said Sukasa, fingering the necklace whilst lookign at it. At that moment, the doorbell rang. "I'll get that," Said Sukasa. "It's either Dracoon or an officer." Getting the door, Sukasa was met by a stern-looking Officer, who handed him two letters and grunted him a good day. Closing the door, Sukasa came back into the living room and handed the one marked 'Alizabe' to Alizabe, before tearing open the envelope marked for him. "Dear mister Sukasa. In response to events having taken place earlier this day, your location in the tourney has been switched to the second bracket, which begins five days from now. Please be advised that until then you are free to enter the pit. Have a good day. Lessee... it's signed the 'Tournament organizer'. Huh, I didn't expect them to handle that that quickly." Said Sukasa, making the connection between the letter and taking care of Alizabe for the three days. (edited by Sukasa on 09-30-06 11:26 PM) |

Alizabe sighed, taking in Sukasa's story. She wished she could relate to it and she wished she had something comforting to say, but she said what was on her mind, hoping Sukasa would take comfort in her honesty. Alizabe: "It might sound... weird... but I actually never met my family." Alizabe paused for a second. Alizabe: "The males of my race are few in number, so I didn't have much of a chance of meeting my father, but I never met my mother either. Dracoon has been with me since I was a baby, really I don't remember anyone else raising me but him." Alizabe didn't let her mind wander. Alizabe: "He's told me something though that puts me on edge... He told me once that I asked him to alter my memories, so really, I have no idea what is truth and what is a frabrication." Alizabe sinked into the couch more as the door opened, Dracoon somehow managed to open it. A smile appeared on Alizabe's face as she saw the two roasted eels and the bag of what she figured was clothes. Dracoon: "Hope you didn't get to hungry."
Dracoon rested on the table for a second while Alizabe started to chow down on the eel. After Alizabe had one of the eel in both hands, Dracoon rested on her lap, curled into a furry ball. |

"Man, though... You never met your family?" Taking the pot off the stove and pouring it out through a strainer, Sukasa plopped the noodles into a bowl, except for a bit that he put on a plate and gave to Luminara, who promptly took it into another room. "To me, that's much harsher than having them die..." he said, wa;lking over to the chair he'd been in before. "I mean, I had a chance to know them... " Sukasa trailed off, looking down. She never even knew her family..? That would suck. I still know what my parents looked like... What would it be like ot have never known your parents? Sukasa wondered. Looking up, Sukasa took a bite of his noodles before turning to Alizabe again. "I hope you don't mind me asking, but what are your reasons for coming here for the tournament?" |
