Not much of a change I just need to get the highlights, work out and I know I won't get taller so I could get heels .

Real Self:

H: 6'2"
W: 195lbs.
Pant size: 34x34. Used to be 31x34, which was an AWFUL bitch to find in pant size.
Hair: Kinda wavy hair, gets to be a pain at longer lengths. Damn genetics.
Eyecolor: Green
Build: Pretty average minus legs. Blame that on DDR.

Ideal Self:

H: No issues here. I'm thinking I'm a basket case because I'm taller than my parents/relatives.
W: 180 would be nice. I used to be 6'0" @ 140. Too skinny for a guy my height.
Pant size: Eh, an inch down or two wouldn't kill.
Hair: The whole hair thing is fine but the length issue would be a nice fix.
Eyecolor: No complaints.
Build: Getting rid of this damn overhang in the stomach region is probably the biggest concern...otherwise...upper body wouldn't be bad to have.

I'm not really complaining too much about my physical appearance that much anymore, but it's not really perfect either.

Real Self

Hieght: 6'ishh
Weight: 190-200ish (although I've seen it vary from 170-220, different scales I hope )

Eye Color: Dark brown.
Build: Potentially muscular.

Ideal self

Height: 6'2
Weight: 185
Hair Color: slightly lighter, maybe just dark blonde.

Build: Slim-strong.

Yeah, I could probably do all of these things if I worked on it except my shoulders are to broad to have a slim-strong build.

Urp? You´re shorter than me. And I think that I`M short. And I think that 115-120 pounds would be too little if you were 5'4".

I´m 5'6"-5'7" and 110 pounds or something like that.

Oh, I know that I´m skinny. But I don´t really care about that as I´ve always been skinny.

Except when I was in 1-5th grade or something like that.

You know, I never knew that kids can be taller than their parents. I was starting to think that I was adopted or something.

Mom: 5'5 or 5'6
Dad: 5'8
Me: 5'9...though I feel that I'm taller than that sometimes..

Yeah 110 pounds at that height is skinny .
115-125* there so I wouldn't be skinny as my ideal self but I won't be that tall so let's go for 115-120 at my height right now.

When people are taller than their parents there has to be someone on either side of the family who is really tall for that person to be tall, well that's what I always thought.

Nope. Everyone that I know is shorter than me. But then again, I don't know everyone in my family tree.

Really, height is more relative to diet and lifestyle than genetics.

Citing my own observations, I disagree. Of virtually everyone I know, very few exhibit no similarity in height to either or both of their parents. My roommate at college is quite tall, as are both of his parents. One of my best friends back home is tall, also resembling his parents' heights. I, myself, am around 5'8", and both of my parents are on the shorter side.

Genetics are not the end-all, I think - it's probably easy enough to find an example of someone who does not resemble his parents in height - but it's a good starting point.

Edit: Regarding diet and lifestyle, I am not too dissimilar in either respect to any of my friends, nor have I ever been in the past (specifically, during puberty and earlier), but I am one of the shortest among us.

If you and your friend shared the same diet, than genetics would be the determining factor as to who's taller, however, if your friend had had a significately different diet than you during periods of high growth, than you could have easily turned out taller.
Since you likely had a simular diet to your parents, there's no reason you wouldn't be about the same height.

Maybe, but there's a certain limit with everything that is based on heredity that can only be stretched so far.

It's about that same as hitting the limit with one's intellect. Even by being exposed to the best circumstances, you're only going to hit a certain max based on your genetics.

Hey, look, I learned something in Child Psychology.

I guess I'd have site source to get people to believe me on this, but I suppose it doesn't really matter either. Also this isn't supposed to be a debate thread either, so nevermind, carry on.

I'm taller than both my parents, and have been for a few years now. My dad is only about 5'4 (granted, he broke his hips in high school and it stopped his growth), and my mom is 5'6 or 5'7. I'm 5'8, probably will be 5'9 by the time I'm done.
