| I have just got into smw hacking. i have been desiging alot of levels and even an entirly new world. even though i have just started to get into this i have gained a lot of valuable knowledge along the way that i can offer to people in need. also i will be able to ask some questions of my own (but i will try to figure it out on my own before doing so as to not bug anyone). i used to play pokemon and might after a while get into that also, but for now i will mainly be working with smw. please give me an approval rating so that i may ask and answer fellow gamers questions. thank you, GreenLuigi (edited by GreenLuigi on 09-05-06 10:29 PM) |

| It's not really that I dislike him.
It's more the fact that he was the one that said "using proper grammer is a plus". Y'know, since he shouldn't be the one to be talking about grammar. Grammar is the opposite of "THATS HILARIOUS!!!!!!!!", and so forth in his posts. |

| I am begining to worry that i will not get accepted since i said that i just entered smw hacking. even though i did enter into this new world of gaming i have gained much knowledge that will prove valuable to the rest of smw hackers. from the very first week i learned so much, how to edit the path of marios fireballs, how to do a complete overworld, how to edit graphics (to a limit, i dont know everything about graphics), how to edit different features like the status bar, etc... i have also got my friend into mario hacking and have been helping him out with the basics and some cool advanced editing. i just hope that i am accpeted so that i may share my knowledge with the rest of the visitors to this site. i also hope that i will be granted the opportunity to learn more and expand as a valuable member to the forums. thank you, again, GreenLuigi | |||

Getting accepted is more of a matter of having content in your posts, using correct grammar (includes capitalization, the first section in my school grammar book.  try to capitalize a few more things, like "I"), reading rules that are only a couple of clicks away instead of posting a question every time you hit a roadblock, understanding what's on topic, and generally just obeying the rules in the FAQ.
The approval system was meant to keep people out that signed up on Acmlm's, didn't read the FAQ, and just immediately went to the SMW and/or Pokemon hacking forums, posting crap hacks and asking for roms. (usually with disregard for grammar, and the use of AOL speak.) I think you seem promising. If you do get accepted, remember to not just tweak a few things in your hack, as people don't generally accept those hacks well. |

| Thank you. I will work on my grammar. I was just unsure if I was going to be accepted or not, due to the other posts on this thread. I will keep it in mind that I not only will offer content but will offer correct grammar. I think that I would be a valuable member to this site. I can offer help to those in need, while still being able to ask questions of my own to learn more as a gamer. I am the type of person who will not ask easy questions because of being lazy. I will honestly search for the answer every where that I can (as in using the search command and a search engine) before I even think of posting it. I will also search the forums looking for questions to answer as well even if it is an easy question. Please approve me as I believe that I would prove to be a valuable member. Anyway, GreenLuigi, we don't expect perfect grammar, just good enough that we can understand what you're trying to say the first time through. The only thing I can suggest is that you use more commas.
