Come on, I laughed at alot of jokes about his death. He probably would making jokes of it, and I actually respect the guy since he was one of the few people who made intresting documentaries on the Animal Planet channel here. Otherwise I only watched regular discovery channel for it's technical stuff.

drjayph that's the best Irwin joke I seen so far. xD

Also, I probably rather want people joking about my death too if I died than them spending weeks on mourning.

I've lost respect for several people now. Bastards. Go ahead and ban me, that's a horrible thing to say about anyone, and he did alot of things, if you ban me for this I don't want to come back.
How is that a horrible thing to say about him? With the way he handled dangerous animals, it was only a matter of time.

I don't think the meant it as in "Yahoo! He's dead!!!!", but more as "It finally happened. " or something.

I don't think saying "It's about fucking time" someone died counts as a joke.

Saying this death was bound to happen is like saying a Gas Fitter will eventually get blown up by a misfire on a Natural Gas furnace at any point in his life as one. It's what we call RETARDED THINKING.

Steve Irwin grew up on a reptile farm, and over the time developed a natural affinity for being around these animals. But it's not only that, it's knowing your enemy and how they think and work as well, like any soldier will tell you. To overcome your enemy you gotta be one step ahead of them and take necessary precautions to protect yourself.

Anyone of you could be a daredevil like he is and live. This is what they call a freak accident, if you couldn't tell.

On a side note, someone told me the last reported case of death by Stingray was 1945, but however long SCUBA equipment has been around is something I'm not sure of.

What's even sadder is that he didn't get eaten by a crocodile as I had predicted. G'day and g'bye Irwin!

The lack of surprise comes from the fact that he was killed by a wild animal, not that he was killed by a stingray.

That comment was mostly meant as my lack of suprise.

He's just been fucking with nature for a while, it was bound to happen. :/

(not that I'm glad to see him go, but this death is nothing suprising)

Eh. HIS death is not particularly surprising.. THIS death, though. That's just, what the hell. Also, expect (eventually) an animated gif from me stemming from what jay posted.

Yeah, everyone figured that if and when Irwin went, it would be because of something that went wrong when trying to capture/film a wild animal. Not... um... a FLUKE stab by a stingray that landed in an even FLUKIER spot.

x Legion x 59 (11:47:21 PM): I heard they took his suntan lotion off the market because they found it didn't help protect against deadly rays.

It's so sad that Steve Irwin had to go. He was fun to watch, and his movie (though corny) was pretty good. The way he died was really a freak accident--had he been more to the left or the right, he'd still be here.
