... I drank it this afternoon and have not yet noted any detriments to my health. Should I be concerned?

Nope, I've done that several times and nothing seems to happen. Just as long as it didn't taste funny or looked like cottage cheese.

Yeah, I was cleaning out the refrigerator and I found an older jug of milk. It smelled bad so I poured it down the toilet. D:

One time, I opened one of those 20 oz milk drinks and it ended up tasting like crap.
But the expiration date wasn't for another week.
What happened?

Bad production of some sort? They probably delayed a shipment or something. If it looks/smells/tastes funny, don't drink/eat it!

Well I didn't know until it was in my mouth.
I didn't get sick from it, thankfully. Just had a sip, but still... it was disgusting.

Ughh... happened to me once, I didn't even look at the date on it. Didn't look in my cup either. I went to drink it and I felt a fucking "chuck" of milk in my mouth... I spewed all over the damn kitchen! I wasn't able to drink milk for about 2 months... still kinda scary but I check the date and my cup now.

Theenks, I'm not going to have any cereal tomorrow morning. Anyone want a generous helping of milk jello? It tastes a bit like cheese, I think you'll like it! *keels over and passes out*

I have yet to drink milk that's chunky. I've tasted it when it tasted funny and then dumped it out. But I always smell to see if it is good when the expiration date is close. Otherwise I don't really like drinking white milk unless with cereal. I like chocolate milk better.

Sometimes there's a little chunkage in my milk... but it's always been just.. ice-milk. The fridge is up too high, apparently.
I make my brother test it when that happens. >8D

"I dare you to drink that chunky milk."
-"No way dude! You do it! I know, let's get Mikey!"
"Hey Mikey come here!"
-"Mikey likes it! Mikey likes it!"

That would be unfortunate...

It's not nice; I don't usually check expiry dates. I've eaten a few days off cheese once, it wasn't good because I was sick for a few days. If you didn't drink much of the milk it should be fine but it depends. If you feel sick the next day, then you will know why.

Yeah, as long as it smells OK and doesn't taste "off", I'd say it's fine. As I recall, the date stamp is a sell-by date, not a use-by date. I don't really look at the date on our milk. Organic milk tends to have a very long freshness period, and I always smell the milk before I use it anyway. This is a habit I learned long ago at my dad's house, where we sometimes did not use up the milk before it expired. All it took was one instance of dumping spoiled milk on the last of my favorite cereal to make me learn to sniff it first.

I have some sour milk in the fridge that is a few weeks due. Don't ask why I hadn't trashed it yet... And for some reason, Ice milk... heh that's a pretty common sight at home for some reason. Here when i'm alone I hadn't seen it, but then I don't have much milk in the fridge and I consume alot of it.

Im like... psycho about my milk... never drink it if it goes one day past expiration

Never had food poisioning (Milk poisoning?) in my life

Eh, I guess so long as it smells alright, and it looks like milk, not lumps, you are just fine.

Well the expiration dates are generally sell by dates, aren't they? At least, that's what my store does. They take it off the shelf when it reaches the expiration date. So... it should be good for at least a few days after expiration, right?

Excuse me, but I think I´m going to throw up for a while.

I came into my apartment and something smelled like sh*t. There was no milk and I had cleaned it with water but it still smelled like sh*t.
