| $7E0076 is the RAM address that stores Mario's direction, right? I already know the values for left, right, and puts you in the middle of the block (you can still move, as if half of it was a passable block), but I can't find the value for when Mario's direction is down. I'm making a block that makes mario slow unless he is falling, and so far I'm at the CMP command. And I would use it to check if it's left or right, then use a BNE command, but that would make his speed normal while moving up. Anybody know? | |||

| If you want to check whether Mario is falling, you should use the Y speed ram address ($7D).
I'm pretty sure $76 isn't used for anything except telling the game whether or not to flip Mario's sprite. |
