I want a job with a desk and a computer where I don't REALLY have too many responsibilities. Apparently people all over the place have them. I'm not saying YOU don't have responsibilities, Taryn, just making an observation based on forums I read and old EQ friends and ytmnd.

Oh, I definitely have responsibilities. But I also have days where I'm able to browse / post sometimes (and days where trying is just impossible).

As I've been very good with my follow-up at the moment, and have little to actively chase up right now (until the iMac returns from Warranty, then I have a lot of Documentation to write and training for staff members to start), I can browse a little in between bits and pieces of work

Besides, in the highly reactive environment I work in, sometimes a bit of browsing is the only thing between me and insanity

(Needless to say, I'm knocking myself out with some Excedrin PM tonight at about 8pm... I'm gonna MAKE myself get some sleep tonight.)

Drugs are NOT the answer, Danielle!

I didn't even notice that. But I have to agree, it's not a good solution. Sleeping medication should only be used in extreme circumstances.

There are better ways to try to get some sleep. Try some relaxation techniques and then go to bed, perhaps. Have a long, hot bath and then go straight to bed?

For me, usually reading textbooks does the trick. Works well for material you don't have much interest in.

First day, yay ( (*)_(*) ).

Luckily, it's orientation for the 8th graders, so the day is one hour long for the 9 to 12th grades ^^

But a nice 6:25 (h:m) long day Wednesday. 8:35 to 3:00.

I loathe our Department of Education.

From this year onward, we will always start at the middle of August instead of the very beginning, but Spring Break and Thanksgiving break have been all but eliminated, Christmas break suffered some losses, and we will finish the term at the very end of May.

Add to that the fact that school for me is from 12:30 PM to 5:30 PM, with absolutely no breaks and a crazy-ass chem teacher, who is already raping us with labs, quizzes, exams and projects all at once... yeah, fun.

I am currently evaluating whether to denounce said teacher for sexual harassment, as he is constantly touching and groping one of the male students.

I didn't enroll/register today. I stayed in bed with my migraine instead. Bleh. Have to do it first thing in the morning. And I'll have to come up with a way to pay tuition.

Stupid migraine...
S'also why I haven't posted today. So much for my sweeping ACS victory this month

I suppose any day where I can make my first post at 11pm sever time and still get second is a pretty slow day indeed. Or it's a day where I spam my head off.

Aww... my computer at work broke and reverted back to backwards typing again

A problem that I'd previously blamed on my keyboard of course. Oh well, it's reimaged now, so hopefully will behave itself

And then there are some of us that do both.

*Danielle cries

Gah, getting up for 6:30am class is killing me. And not only that, but my schedule is messed up, so I don't get to leave at lunch every day like I should. That, plus work after school, plus the already tedious amount of homework, and Danielle is beat.

My wife is almost the same thing. We both go to school in early morning hours, then near the end of a hard day she has work at the local deli next to Hy-Vee on Rockingham St.

Homework is too damn stressing, but the only people we blame is our class profs. Hell, even as I make this post I'm in the middle of class...

Cirvante, what the heck kind of school do you go to? o.O

Sounds odd, in the extreme.
