| Ernest stood there, listening... and, as Mewlt spoke, some sort of understanding came to mind.
"I see..." he eventually said, quiet. "An energy, somewhat close to your own, touches deep into you, burning horribly... and all you want to do is to turn everything into what it shouldn't be, to either undo everything or make it become something else..." It seemed like he was... regretful? "This feeling... I remember it, back then... and maybe I understand that. However... all this makes me wonder is... are you like me?" The last question was rather odd... but maybe Mewlt would have understood it. "As for your question... while I would not mind a spar at all, fact remains that not only am I still not going out, but also am being forced against someone who is. It is not fully my fault, however... I just would rather not have the one who cares for you lose you. It is not really my want to harm her, physically or emotionally, and I'd rather not do it by killing you. "See these?" he motioned towards his scarf and the wrappings. "These are made from a special type of cloth, meant to restrain the cold. When I first put them on, I also sealed two techiques with my blood... Sheer Cold and a personal move of mine. Both moves are deadly, and whenever I use them, I do not miss... which means that, as long as I keep these on, I am not going all out, in order to not kill my opponent. I do not want to kill you, even if we fight. I... hope you can understand that." |

| Mewlt floats about, the power seemingly acting on its own, another surge of destructive power about to be unleashed...
The way he stared at Ernest... "Ernest... maybe we are the same. Not meant to exist, wielding terrible powers, seeking control and sealing..." he smiled... "We mustn't have failed that badly, considered we defeated bad guys and prevented an awful fate for our respective worlds..." "Yet... this place... I still don't get it. When I and Cherlie defeated Nihilum, we were to return to the world... but instead, we were driven deep into a world of silence, of emptiness... and somehow, this is the same for you." The arcane symbols glowed on the sphere. "Cherlie can't lose me... I'm beginning to believe that maybe this is not really happening..." his eyes glowed a funny color... one that wasn't blue and yet, was... "Ernest... I do not know if it apply to your world as well... but it might be possible that when we defied the laws of physics, defeating the final foe, it caused a rip in the space/time continuum. What I mean is that I am still myself... and so are you... but those are the same selves as the ones that overcame our respective final foes, not our true selves, which lost the Power and returned to their loved ones once the task completed." A smile came to Mewlt as he realized something... "In fact, maybe this is why I can't control my power. I, too, lost my powers when I defeated Nihilum... yet, I am unleashing my powers here and now. Maybe we are all mirror images..." ... Cherlie rose an eyebrow, crossing her arms. "Okay! I don't know about you, Elysia... but I say that Mewlt is talking non-sense! I know that this place is weird but come on! Mewlt! Get ahold of yourself! You're not like this!" Mewlt stared at Cherlie for a moment... and then turned back to Ernest. "I would like to... but I fear that my power is now acting on its own." BAM BAM BAM BAM!!! In an instant, the sphere seemed to explode and another barrage of Silver Tears was sent toward Ernest! |

| A cold glare... it seemed like one of the only emotional traits he gave, now that he had calmed down.
"Maybe to you..." he replied, coldly, as Mewlt finished speaking. "I am unsure if this power will ever leave me, even if I die once more... or maybe, after a few lifetimes. This is how little I know of this all... but I would rather wait for actions, rather than only words." Ernest's wings flapped instinctively, snow falling underneath his body. "So, you really are willing to go all out... still, as I said before, I'm not interested in seeing you die. Go ahead and attack me, but do not expect me to either kill you or let myself die." Closing the wings around himself, he concentrated energy all around himself... and a strong forcefield appeared, expanding against the Silver Tears, but simultaneously being reinforced... which was a good idea, since the attack was stronger than it seemed. Ernest was focusing as much as he could, in a hope that he'd freeze them as well. |

| The Silver Tears were not even slowed down by Ernest's attack freezing them. Looks like the collision (and damage) is imminent!
"You don't get it... We are maybe not even here. Death cannot claim what doesn't exist, Ernest..." Mewlt felt frustration as his powers continued to pulsate on their own, preparing another attack... ... and then, a massive sphere of fiery energy was emitted, flying away from Mewlt at high speed, straight toward Ernest! The sphere was flying extremely quickly and was basically as hot as a miniature star. As it flew about, it left a trail of smaller spheres of fire that floated there for a second before turning into homing beams of super-heated plasma that headed straight for Ernest! It was so strange... the angle of the sphere and how the beams were heading toward Ernest... it was as if the attack had a mind of its own, seeking to trap him in a position where he wouldn't be able to avoid damage. ... Cherlie slowly turned to Elysia. "Well... I'm officially bored. Got some cards?" ... she thought about it for a second and then, rolled her eyes. "What am I talking about?!? I hate cards!" |

| "I don't like what you are saying..."
Glaring at everything around him, Ernest quickly located the only exit... but it was going to close very soon. He barely made it past the stretch, when... *FIZZZZZZZZ-POWPOWPOWPOWPOWPOWPOWPOWPOW* Several of the smaller spheres managed to collide against him, and he began losing altitude... but energy had already formed on his wings and hands, and he managed to move them in time. "BLIZZARD!" A HUGE tornado of cold and ice formed in front of him, intercepting most of the next beams. The severe cold was enough to diminish the damage of the plasma, if not cool it permanently, and it also slowed the beams severely. Recovering his standing, he flew to the other side, putting a hand over his chest. There were some holes on his clothes, where he had been hit, but nothing serious... yet. Some of the Blizzard had moved towards Mewlt, trying to collide against him. "I don't want to stop believing I'm real... because, if I do, I'm going to be as good as dead to myself. And I don't want to!" ... Cherlie's attempts at conversation were useless... somehow, Elysia had fainted. |

| Mewlt closed his eyes, making no attempt to counter-attack...
... but his power was now acting on its own. FWOOOOSH! The arcane symbols suddenly spreaded out and in an instant, the sphere around Mewlt disformed, a serie of spikes emerging, giving the force field a strange star shape... ... and as it transformed, it also sent MASSIVE beams of unknown energy flying in all directions, forming a compact barrage. There was no gap in the barrage and that energy was probably very harmful... ... or is there truly no gap in the barrage? The energy wall seemed rather... uneven. The energy barrage met with the blizzard and although the barrage was MUCH stronger than the blizzard, easily blowing it away... it did cause a hole in the barrage... a hole big enough for Ernest to squeeze through! ... Cherlie's right ear dropped as she rose an eyebrow. "Wha... what?" She rolled her eyes, sighing loudly. "... stuck in the middle of nowhere, Mewlt saying non-sense, useless battle with people we just met... and now this? My kingdom for Mew's powers..." |

| Ernest groaned, as he felt the extreme energy incoming... but thankfully, it seemed his move did enough damage to open a hole. Good. That'd be useful... now, if only he could do this faster. Oh well. Better try to do it as fast as he can...
His aura surging for a moment, enough that a pillar of energy flew both upwards and downwards into the nowhere, Ernest began concentrating energy... in his arms... in his throat... in his wings... about everywhere! He was glowing even bluer... almost like a star... Even as it went, the temperature continued to drop, colder, colder, and even colder... if a thermometer was there, it'd be way below 0 degrees by now, maybe even a hundred and ninety degrees negative! And yet... this was mostly focused on his front, while behind him, where Cherlie and Elysia were, the temperature was still rather normal... ...oh, wait, they were in another protective dome, now. Finally, it seemed he was getting ready... but, what he'd do, he wouldn't do it yet. Instead, he'd wait... |

| Mewlt closed his eyes... "So... this is how it unfold. I see... fighting an useless battle against a foe from another world that doesn't have any qualms with me..." a cold smile... "Fine then... I do not feel anything... I do not feel cold nor warm. I guess that my trance must be getting deeper..."
The cat Pokemon closed its eyes and in an instant, the void in which the fight was taking place begun to somehow change... "I am sick of the way this fight is going... So I guess... that I shall synchronize our powers and figure out once and for all what is this place, why we are here, and why a destructive flow of power is being directed toward you, using me as a vessel and ignoring all my commands..." |

| Ernest stood hovering there, defensive, for a few seconds... before a smile seemed to appear on his face. "I see... well, I will do as you say for now. I'm trusting you to do the right thing... so please do it right."
Then, he waited for Mewlt to continue what he was doing. |

| At this moment, Mewlt's powers begun to fluctuate... and it's then that Mewlt came to a realization...
... no. This couldn't be... yet... no... he can't believe this! Can itn truly be... this? ... he closed his eyes... they had to go through it, still. It didn't matter after all... All that mattered was to get done with this mess once and for all before his powers went totally awry and caused their doom to them all. The sphere around Mewlt begun to rotate and the barrage of attacks stopped for a moment... "Quickly! Enter the sphere and use your powers! Once within, use your own powers and synchronize yourself with the Essence. Do not let the inner Core destroy you, however!" he called. ... Cherlie rose an eyebrow. What were they doing? What was going on? What is this... ... huh? For a second... this familiar feeling... ... nah, must have imagined it... |

| As he noticed what was going on, and after hearing what Mewlt said, Ernest blinked, in surprise. "Synchronize myself? How am I supposed to do that?" he asked, even as he flew towards the inside of the sphere, on the nearest hole. Flaring up his energy, he waited for Mewlt's next order, already preparing a blast of sorts. His hands were beginning to burn from that strain, however... | |||

| Mewlt's eyes opened... they were... empty?
"Enter the sphere... There is no need for explanations. You will see once inside..." his voice... was growing faint? ... what's happening? ... Cherlie looked around... and then, she thought she finally realized... This place... she know what it is... she know what this place is and what purpose it have! |

| Ernest blinked, in surprise... but he shook his head.
"I guess this place is affecting me more than normally..." he muttered, before flying deeper inside the sphere. Unfortunately, his hands were still hurting, and he couldn't restrain it for much longer... |
