Super Robot Wars Alpha 3 Beatmania IIDX series(pretty much any style had kickass music) Megaman series Gitaroo Man Guilty Gear XX #reload Slash Disgaea 2 (if only for White Tiger. absolutely BADASS song) Ragnarok Online (say waht you will about the game but it had a kickass soundtrack) Castlevania: Symphony of the Night Cave Story Initial D ver. 3 Silent Hill series Sonic the Hedgehog series F-Zero X Perfect Dark probably more but those are some of the best of the best off the top of my head |

| There's no complete soundtrack I can quite call my favourite exactly... so here's my all-time favourite VG tunes instead, in more or less chronological order of discovery:
Lufia II: Final Battle *Secret of Mana: Give Love its Rightful Time / Mana Fortress Theme Chrono Trigger: Sealed Door / Belthasar's Theme; Chrono Trigger / Title Theme Seiken Densetsu 3: The Sacrifice Part III Soul Blazer: Koibito no Inayoru / Lisa's Theme Xenogears: Awakening Star Fox: Ending *Shadow of the Beast II: ingame 1 part 2 *Awesome: f1a (yeah, songs had uncreative titles like that in Amiga times) *Ragnarok Online: Rag All Night Long; Retro Metro; Steel Me Legend of Mana: Aid *Terranigma/Tenchi Souzou: Dark Side Field *Chrono Cross: Frozen Flame; Lost Child of Time Cave Story: Gestation; Living Waterway *Final Fantasy Tactics: Apoplexy Tales of Symphonia: Last Battle ~Decision~ .hack//Outbreak: str9_2 Balmung's Entry and the Virus Rocket Knight Adventures: Stage 3 Tales of Phantasia: Premonition The games marked with a * are the ones I consider being the closest still to having an overall "favourite of mine" soundtrack. |

| Two words.
Chrono Trigger. It has the best VG music I have ever heard. (And I have heard 1000+ VG songs) Magus's theme, Crono's theme, and the over-wold for 600 AD are some of my favorites. I also like Culex battle / FF4 Boss music as well. (edited by The Red Snifit on 09-07-06 07:58 PM) |
