I have a major status bar issue. Okay, I used the original status bar and due to new GFX it severely messed up the palettes.

Then I used Smallhacker's SBE and pressed 7 (to load palette 7) and set up the tiles differently.

I went back in LM and noticed that it still uses palette 1; and also still uses the same color spots! (The color problem was fixed in a lot of levels, but in some of the ones I've gotten from SMB LLDX it's still really messed up.)

They use: palette 1, colors 9, A, B, D, E, and F (not 100% sure about the colors)

I want them to use: palette 6, colors 5 and 6 (since they're not usually changed in a level because of coins)

Is there ANY way this is possible?

Layer 3 works differently from layers one and two, when it comes to palettes.

your colours HAVE to be in LM palettes zero or one.

The layer 3 colors ALWAYS use the same palette in every level, you probably just need to change the colors of it in those level. I attached a picture about the palettes and colors for layer 3. I can't be wrong with the palette ordering though, so feel free to correct me, if it is wrong.

Nope, layer 3 palettes are 4-colour, not 2-colour.

Palete zero (L3) = LM Palette 0, colours 0-3
Palette one (L3) = LM palette 0, colours 4-7
Palette two (L3) = LM palette 0, colours 8-B
Palette three (L3) = LM palette 0, colours C-F
Palete four (L3) = LM Palette 1, colours 0-3
Palette five (L3) = LM palette 1, colours 4-7
Palette six (L3) = LM palette 1, colours 8-B
Palette seven (L3) = LM palette 1, colours C-F

Damn! Well, I guess I'll have to use either palette 0 or 1 using colors 0-3. I'll have to see about the BGs and whatnot to set it up correctly. And if you've read my ExGFX thread, I'll probably just take the ExGFX, custom sprites and blocks, and custom maps/levels/palettes and move them to a new rom; organizing my Map 16 pages as best as I can without it being so cluttered.

BTW, I would use my photobucket account and change the links (tried them and they don't work; gay ass image hosting website!) but I don't have the PNGs w/ me Will do it tomorrow. And as for my demo I slated to be released like 2 weeks ago... looks like I have a LOT of work to do before a decent release, so I'm not promising anything. I'd say maybe around halloween, but "I'm not promising anything."
