| Gyromite: Naturally, I have taken these concerns into consideration, and planned accordingly. Fem, if you would...
Fem got up out of her chair and moved to the front of the room. She then pulled a device of some sort out of her pocket, strapping it to her arm. Fem: This is a personal cloaking device. It works on the simple principle of bending light around an object. The winged female scientist then activated the device, causing her arm to disappear entirely. Fem: It's not completely perfect. If you move around too much... She waved her arm around wildly, and as she did the shape of it became visible. Fem: The distortions of the light become much more apparent. As long as you remain mostly still when there's someone around who might see you, you'll be fine. Also, because it works by bending light around you, your own vision will be somewhat impaired, with results similar to wearing sunglasses. |

| Gyromite: For the sake of subtlety, we'll be using a modified transporter pad to send you back in time. Once you're finished, JDavis can use his temporal phaser compression rifle to open a portal back to the present.... Assuming he agrees to go, that is.
JDavis: As much as I'm not fond of the idea of using time travel like this, I'm as curious as anyone about the Star Door. It seems so... familiar, somehow. Fem cleared here throat, and uncloaked her arm. Fem: The cloaking devices also have built-in cameras *points to a small hole on the end of the device nearest to her wrist* and microphones, so that you can take pictures of whatever research materials you find and record any conversations you might overhear. |

| Troy had already managed to make his way to the top of the building, where he sat with his legs dangling over the side. A set of padded headphones sat on his head, with a wire that dangled downwards into a window several floors below. He glanced over as a tall, blue-haired man in white robes strode over to him.
Troy : One charge of conspiracy to hamper temporal stability. Keele : For having adventured with these people before, you don't seem terribly trustworthy. Troy : Maybe so, but I do have responsibilities. Keele : I don't see any of them revolving around being time police. I think you have a good reason to call me here... I have a better working knowledge of temporal mechanics, should you choose to intervene. But at the same time I know that you must have ulterior motives to take on such a ridiculous request from Auron. Troy : Seeing to their safety, or reversing some action that has to do with me? The Chronicle can only rewind up to a few months at best. Keele : More so the latter. Troy : More so the former. Keele : Suckup. Troy : Blowhard. Visible streams of lightning became visible between the two's eyes. Troy : Auron gave me clearance, so you're gonna sit your ass down pronto and wait until I have enough of an idea what's happening to decide what happens next. Keele stumbled away, sitting cross-legged. He slowly drew another popsicle from under his coat. |

| Grey whistled innocently as Draco was thrown backwards suddenly by one of the weenies moving at an alarming rate. Any subsequent attempts to rush at the plate of delicious snacks resulted in Draco colliding with a wall, completely intangible and thus far interminable as to its source. No weenies for him today! Kirby: If he objects to not coming along, we've always got those "Little Smokies" to distract him with. The last thing we need is to introduce those little weenies or the ice cream into the past. Which means... You guys gotta make sure you get rid of those popsicle sticks before going

| JDavis: Relax, guys, it's going to stay in my pocket until we need to leave. Or it should, anyway, if all goes to plan. "Guns" in the more traditional, projectile sense are a big "NO" though, as they tend to leave bullets.
At the front of the room, Gyromite cleared his throat again. Gyromite: I imagine everyone's decided at this point? Everyone who is going, please come to the front here and collect your cloaking device from this box. Everyone one else, feel free to continue to enjoy the refreshments. Once everyone has their cloaking device, we will proceed to beam you into the past. |

| Mel walks over to the box of cloaking devices, and removes one. He removes his belt and drops it into one of his coat pockets, then threads the webbed belt attached to the belt buckle-sized device through the belt loops of his pants, locking the buckle back into the other side of the device and tightening the band.
MEL: Hey! Good fit. He pulls another two cloaking device from the bin, and tosses them over his shoulders to Smithy and Booster. Booster catches his, wearing it as a belt as well; Smithy places the box to the side of his head and ties the belt around his forehead like a bandanna. |

Keele : Idiots... what difference does it make if you're seen or not, not being questioned about your origins or your possessions is one thing, but that doesn't make any actions you perform any less consequential... Troy : Got 'em. Troy poked his head back over the guardrail, danging two of the surplus cloaking girdles danging from his clenched fist. Keele : ...and where did you get those? Troy : I snuck them, dur. Keele : ...and how did you sneak them? Troy : I used my Sneak/Invisible spells, and I... uh... oh... yeah, I guess that kind of makes this poin... Keele : Shut UP. Troy : Urgh... okay, listen, they're going to be activating their timesplitter device shortly. Once they herd everyone through, we'll drop down and sneak to it, and then we... Keele : Okay! Okay. I understand your entire damned ordeal over this time travel. Quit telling me what to do, and listen - them going back is bad enough, what do you hope to accomplish by following them? What if WE manage to screw up space-time more than they do? And- Troy stood up, clearing his throat. Troy : *points to his head* I have the notion, right here, that we're going to jump down into that coming time warp and breach it. You know full well you aren't going to stop me. Thus, it's like we already went into the past and did what we needed to do, technically. Now, look around and tell me, is everything in the galaxy ruined? In this timeline it's already been preordained that I'm going to go back in time, and nothing's happened. Capiche? Keele raised his finger to talk... but let out a rough wheeze. Troy : Yeah. So follow my lead. Keele gripped the second belt in his hand, veins bulging on his head. |

| Teddylot popped out of the box of cloaking devices, sending a few of them flying around the room. He had two of them in his hands and laying on his head. He chucked the two to Zap and Twister who were quickly trying to finish their oddly delicious sea-salt ice creams. Twister attached the device to his belt and Zap to his wrist.
Teddylot took the last device from his head and gave it some pretty stern, undeserved scrutiny. Teddylot: What time is it? |
