There is one outside right now, and I like it.

I like them, except the fact I can't use my computer if we have one.

It's also fun to watch others get scared when thunder booms, even if one of them others includes myself.

I love them, though having to unplug my room can suck. The sound of rain (especially on a tin roof) just drops me to sleep too.

It is just raining outside at the moment. No thunder. No Lightning.

They are okay because they set a nice cozy mood to chill and/or sleep.

But, they also can cause a blackout or power outtage which sucks.

I also noticed I sleep easier. I can't sleep when it's too quiet because I hear every little sound anyone else makes. The rain is almost soothing in it's own way.

Thats why I like them. They are soothing in a weird way.... for me I think it's because I feel like I am underneath something......but the rain noise is also very nice.

We've had a pretty nice thunderstorm here a few weeks ago ... so nice we had a power shortage for nearly a day, and the older computer we had apparently fried

Other than that, I don't really mind them, I even remember (about 8 years ago) going outside (at my grandparents') with my cousin during one, in swimming suits, just to have fun taking a nice shower in the rain and watching the other people in coats and such Then later the same day, lightning hit a tree (half of it fell) near the house...

Last thunderstorm I saw was last year. Though, since I have moved to a different town, one that I've heard can actually get thunderstorms during winter, I'm hoping that I'll get to see some, because I think they're quite interesting.

But also, this town is said to be the rainiest town in Norway, and I really don't like huge amounts of rain. Though, I don't think the rumour is really true. I think my hometown has just as much precipitation, only that up there it snows during winter, whereas down here it can rain all year round.

I can say that I love thunderstorms with the rain. The heavy rain that plitter-patters the road, and soaks the ground, making it look so beautiful. And I also love those thunderstorms. It just gives it that unique weather experience.

Swedish powerlines and stuff are better-than-crap and thus we don't lose power that often in thunder (as in, not even once this year I think, and we've had quite a lot of bad weather in August).

I love the sound of rain and the scent on the air. It's also kinda nice when the power is knocked out. I used to get pissy about not being able to use a tv or computer, but now it gives me a chance to enjoy the quiet. If it's not cold and I'm out in the country I'll usually go out and play in the rain in my undies

Here in New Mexico, we have had at least 10 of these over the last few months... We are normally lucky to have 3 of these in a year.
Yes, I like them. Everything looks green after a few of those, and I like the sound of rain as well.

Yeah, that smell can be cool. And it seems like a lot of people can't smell it, so being able to detect a storm by it makes you seem psychic.

There were a lot of storms here this summer too, some really strong ones. Seemed the weather didn't want to even out. It just kept getting really hot, then some cold wind would rush in and form a storm, but it didn't stay cool afterward like usual, it just got hot again. Must have happened like 15 times.

(BTW, you guys should see Alberta. Practically every time it rains, it looks like it's going to flood. Massive storms there.)

Rain puts me to sleep... rain and thunderstorms. Everyone else in the house is kept up in the night, but not me. I sleep like a rock when it storms

The smell is awesome too... its so... soothing for some reason

You know, you can have the smell of rain anytime! All you have to do is get a hose.....turn it on.....and spray the street.

I did it once, but I would rather it rain.....that way I don't have to do all that work.....

Well, I was more referring to the ozone/ionized air scent from a thunderstorm, but the wet smell is also nice as long as it's not a set in, moldy wet.
