Anybody know where that official recall site might be located. I bought an 12 inch iBook G4 in May and I sure as hell don't want it blowing up. I've never been good at knowing if laptops are running too hot because I always think they're hotter than they should be (My desktop runs at about 17C). Anyways, thanks if anyone knows where to look that up, because I couldn't find it on apple's site.

If your battery feels warmer than the machine itself, then you'd have to worry. Otherwise, an overheating laptop (although bad), is not indicative that you have a faulty battery.

I'm disappointed. You think we would be technologically advanced enough to make a battery that won't explode. It's not like laptops just came out in the past year.

Well, there are always defects in the manufacturing process... Cars have been around for almost 100 years and there are still recalls for faulty ignition switches and stuff like that...
