Currently, I'm looking into making a medium-large hack on Legend of Zelda, though I am not sure where to start. I know what I want, I just don't know how to start. So, let's go to my list of questions.
Which Hex-editor do I use to cleanly and easily edit the overworld and underworld maps. Is there a sprite editor for the original LoZ in place? And where might one find these glorious tools? |

Are you talking about the original Legend of Zelda for NES? If so, I would go to Zelda Classic route @ www.zeldaclassic.com
If you want to still stick with the NES, look up the tools for it at http://www.datacrystal.org/wiki/Legend_of_Zelda |

There is a list of programs for level editing in Zelda. For graphics, use either Tile Layer Pro or YY-CHR. And as for a hex editor, I use Transhexlation. |
