Okay, now this is messed up. I'm making a level, standard horizontal side-scrolling, and I used the SMB2 background found in Demo World, y'know, the one with the grass, palm trees and sky. When I enter the level, the BG is fine, but when I go down a pipe, and after I'm done in that room, come back, there's garbage on the bottom of the screen.
Eh? I have a solution to this: send the pipe to another "TEST" level in Lunar Magic and have it mirror the original level, but that uses up "TEST" levels. If anyone knows how to fix this, or if they need screenshots, let me know. Thanks. |

This should fix it:
For the level that has garbage at the bottom of the BG layer, go under the Super GFX Bypass dialog and change the initial position of the BG. It should fix the problem, but I haven't had it happen in a long time so my memory could be screwy. Edit: I was wrong, Smallhacker has it. My bad. It's funny because I actually double checked and I was in that dialog, but I still said the Bypass windows (edited by Disruptive Idiot on 08-20-06 09:10 AM) (edited by Disruptive Idiot on 08-20-06 10:45 AM) |

Ehm... Not exactly. You're supposed to change the BG initial position in either the Main entrance window or the Secondary entrance one, depending on what kind of entrance it is.

FYI, you have a total of 512 levels you can use. Given that you can only access 292 of those from the overworld (and the number of entrances you can actually place is much lower, I forget what exactly) I don't think you should have to worry about using them up too much.

Actually... Only 96 levels can be accessed from the overworld.

What the...512 levels? Seriously? Lunar Magic, as far as I can see, goes from Level 0 to 1FF, right? (damn...has to do math...)
Yeah, 96 levels can be accessed from the overworld, I only use like 78 or something like that. But as for secondary levels unaccessible until you're actually in the level (pipe levels, secondary rooms, ecetera)...512 levels?? WHERE ARE THEY ALL?! *runs around* Anyway...yeah, I fixed the garbage stuff. Thanks for your help, guys. |
