If they can come up with reasonable evidence that there's gold there, I say go for it. I mean, I would assume even if they do get court approval to dig, they'll use ground penetrating radar to locate it first, it's not like they'd just tear up the whole yard.

They must have some pretty strong evidence to decide to go and dig there. I mean if they weren't sure, surely they wouldn't be stupid enough to go and dig randomly.

How dare you guys. This is a fantastic story. I know if I were running an internet company and somebody stole from me, I'd totally go to their parents' house and dig for gold.

Wouldn't YOU?

Well, it is a rather ... "non-conventional" idea, but I guess if the thought crossed my mind I'd just HAVE to do it.

AOl needs to come up with better eveidence then "he owes us money and you're his parents," before they can dig up their lawn. This will get shot down in court for sure.

All I have to say is. If they dig and there turns out to be no gold, this is going to be a HUGE egg in the face for AOL. Even though this guy is a spammer and a fugitive. Huge huge PR mistake.

I'm going to mine ||bass' nose until I find green gold! Why? Because he may or may not be hiding it in there.

(I suspect he eats it)

Now if they're accusing him of hiding this gold, then that's fairly dumb...
Clearly you DIDN'T READ the article. They ARE accusing him of hiding the gold. If you actually read the article, it says AOL is digging for gold on the guy's PARENT'S PROPERTY. Parents that he has apperantly not seen in quite some time.

Keh, that'll teach me to skim. It still makes some sense though, if they have reason to suspect it's there.
