Ooooh man. This game ROCKS.

asdflk;ahsdf;klhasdflkhasdplfkhas;lkdfh;kalsdhf;aklsdhf;lakshdf

That's really all there is to say. It's an RPG, but keeping in the tradition of all Mario-related RPGs, it manages to not suck despite being an RPG (as we all know, RPGs tend to suck, especially those made by Square/Square-Enix.) So yeah. Leetness. Like the first Mario and Luigi, but better.

They gave Peach her own DS game, they'd damned well better give Luigi his own. I demand Luigi's Mansion 2! What does that have to do with PiT? Nothing, but I just recently beat Superstar Saga, and will be getting PiT soon. Controlling two characters made pulling off Bros. Moves tough enough, I can't imagine how hectic it'll be in PiT. But the game was really fun, we need more games like this. If only Final Fantasy took on the idea of doing more in battle than saying "cast this" "attack that" and did more Paper Mario / Mario & Luigi type stuff, maybe that'd revamp the series.

I'm getting it for Christmas. The first one was fun, I tried to get to the highest level possible but my file got erased. I started all over except that I wanted to beat Cakletta in a low level and I beat her in lvl. 33.

Ooh. Good to hear that it at least lives up to M&LSS. That game was class. Now I have to get this one too.

The thing that's really missing in this one is that so far, I haven't seen any Bros. Attacks. There's no BP, so I'm guessing I won't be seeing them. They seem to have replaced them with Bros. Items, of which there are like a million, and they're all awesome And you pick them up all the time so unless they're all you use you'll never run out. Smash Eggs rock. Also, action commands in this are greatly expanded, which is nice. Also, how can you go wrong with enemies that speak a foreign language that translates roughly as 1337

Edit: BACK TO ADVENTURE!

If you don't like fighting very much, the bosses are just going to get tougher and you'll just be at a very low level when you face them because you rarely like to fight. This is an RPG, you're suppose to fight and level up.

No, you're thinking of a craptacular Squeenix-styled RPG. The idea here is to have fun.

I can see why you'd have trouble. Took me a short while to figure out what to do. Basically, you take out the two support shroobs on the right, causing it to roll towards the commander and explode, drawing him out for a short while. Then it's just a matter of beating him down.

I want this game sooooooo much! Luckily, I'll probably get it on my birthday (Dec. 14). I've seen all the videos and the article in NP199. The bosses look very unique. I can't wait to go to Yoshi's Island!! Is there music from the SNES game in there?

Edit: I have a question... what's with Shrooboids? Are they Shroobs or what?

SS is one of my favorite games ever, so this better be as good, if not better. But I have to wait like, 3 weeks to get it. Cause I'm probably getting ti for x-mas.

Review (Yes I beat it in 2 days, I've got THAT little to do, and this game is mad fun)

SPOILERS! (obviously)

Spoiler:
Man but this game didn't pull a Lufia 2 (if you don't know what I mean, the sequal being better then the original). This game is definatly jacked up on the difficulty from Superstar Saga (I was literally ramming mushrooms, one-ups, peppers, the whole lot down my throat during the final battle(s), because they can do LOADS of damage FAST. Anyone who hasn't, I highly reccomend getting green and red peppers NOW).

They also dumbed down the equipment system with only 2 slots instead of 3 (no 2nd accessory). Armor raises all of your stats instead of just HP and DEF, and badges only give effects).

Don't think I'm complaining about the difficulty, I like it a lot, but young kids may not like it because of the difficulty. And if you're not gonna use items, good luck. I mean it.

Plotwise, it's slightly more predictable then SS was (Though there are a few interesting twists. Such is when in the final battle, you find out you were assembling the C. star to help the shroobs the entire time. I won't go into detail, because some people will read this without having finished the game and will yell at me.

Overall, it was very nicely done. The graphics are extremely well done, and I only noticed ONE graphical glitch (and it's very, very nitpicky). Obviously, being an RPG, you probably won't play through it more then a few times (a low-level challenge maybe, but it'd be hard as hell. I had trouble on SS doing a low level game.)

My rating out of 10: seven (7)
