I really think they shouldn't. You people are inventing problems that don't actually exist, as most of the bad behaviour was limited to the game specific hacking forums. Also, there's 6 moderators on the forum, there shouldn't be a problem getting rid of posts that are potentially stupid.

It might also get rid of the jackasses described in this post:

I personally thought the ROM hacking forum should also have been approval only, but... I guess we'll just see how it goes.

Too many stuckup morons who take more time bitching about why a system sucks than just posting an application saying "Hello I am ___(NAME)___ and such hi."

I never understood why that was so hard to do. If they don't like the approval system, then they can just leave.

It's not THAT difficult is it?

But if they did that, they wouldn't get to complain.

That's a great idea--everytime you have a problem with someplace, abandon it completely. Only it's a terrible idea and you suck.

Acmlm's isn't a totally terrible place, and as long as I have a keyboard and a few working fingers, I will never stop listing its faults until it is a totally awesome place.

We complainers, we complain... because we hate.

Also, because we care.

And hate.

Mostly hate.

But still, the caring.

GP, be nice to acillatem, he's my man.

Anyway, to add some on-topic to this post, I'm fine with the system. It's... fine. That's it, really.

Making an approval thread is a small price to pay to filter out idiocy. If someone's too proud to ask for approval that's a serious ego problem.

Not to mention the vast majority of our idiots can't figure out how to get approval apparently... It's so worth it.
