| Due to increasing stupidity, the SMW and Pokémon Hacking forums are now read-only to the general public. If you want to post something, you'll need to obtain staff approval. Follow these easy-to-digest rules and instructions, and nobody will get hurt:
- DO NOT use this place to spam, flame, settle grudges, scare off newbies, or post other off-topic nonsense. We don't like having to sift through useless clutter. ONLY post in someone else's thread if you have something important and helpful to say -- flaming idiots and berating newbies for bad grammar is not this forum's intended purpose. Failure to follow this rule WILL result in disciplinary action, including removal of approved status and/or a ban. - If your name is in RED, don't even bother applying, 'cause you won't get in. Sorry. - If you cannot speak English without the use of an automatic translator, you will probably not be approved. We have better things to do with our time than figure out what the hell "it goes to be certain that el ExGFX, prior to inserted by ROM can be determined, fuguzador under assistance of Lunar Magic, by creation attempt el gato?" is supposed to mean. (but you probably can't read this anyway -- OH THE IRONY) - To obtain "approved" status, you'll first need to tell us (the staff) a little bit about yourself. You do this by creating ONE new thread in the Approval Request forum, and using the generous space provided to explain who you are and what you plan to contribute to the community. Including examples of things you've done is also a good idea. This should be at least one or two paragraphs in length. If, after a few days, your application hasn't been checked by staff, please feel free to bump the thread. However, do NOT do this every day! Once every few days is more than enough. - If, after reading your application, we feel you'll be a benefit to the forums, you'll be granted the mystical status of Approved SMW/Pokémon Hacking MemberTM and given full access. Congratulations! - However, if it's obvious that you don't plan to contribute anything, or the staff feels that your behavior is inappropriate for the SMW/Pokémon Hacking forums, you will NOT be approved. If this is the case, you can either appeal the decision, or wait a while and try applying again (unless the staff deems their decision to be final, in which case whining will get you nowhere). DO NOT keep pestering staff if you don't get approved -- you'll only hurt your chances of future approval, and possibly even get BANNED. (Abusive behavior towards staff or other members WILL result in INSTANT BANNINATION.) - Please also remember to keep appeals and subsequent applications to your original thread; this way, we can keep things organized. Duplicate threads will be deleted. - The Approval Request forum is for approval requests only. Off-topic posts WILL be deleted on sight! - Keep in mind that approval is NOT permanent, and can be revoked at any time if you screw up badly enough or too often. If this happens, you must re-apply for approval--you will NOT be re-approved automatically! - Remember: access to the SMW/Pokémon Hacking forums -- and this board as a whole -- is a privilege, not a right. Staff reserve the right to remove your access to these forums for any reason, although generally, you can post in your application thread if you need more detail as to why your access has been removed.
