Hi, I came across a website a while back that had images of the whole Zelda 3 overword map light & dark, and every dungeon & indoor area. Also, every door is numbered so you know which one goes where. This would be a real helpful resource, anyone know what site I'm talking about?

GameFAQs, here'a link to the material. Edit: These are just overoworld maps, I couldn't find the dungeon maps.

Is this related to rom hacking?

The one I'm thinking of is more detailed. It has every single door in the overwold numbered or marked to match a map of every indoor area.

How is this a useful resource, and how does it relate to ROM hacking?

It's useful as a reference for how the game is laid out. That much should be obvious, even if you haven't hacked this game.

That map set is vastly inferior, and probably isn't what he was talking about. Try this on for size, it's much more organized than those direct dungeon map rips (which are not organized at all and may have multiple dungeons in one image).

Oh yeah, check out the other maps on that site, especially the Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas one. That's some crazy shit right there, for lack of a better phrase.

Um, can't you see all the maps and dungeons and doors in Hyrule Magic?

Yeah, I can view all the maps in HM, but I often forget which rooms some doors lead to. If I can find a map like the one I saw I could also add the entrane or room # from HM to it so you could know where everything is better, but the maps that goldensunboy, and Orochimaru brought to my attention may work. If I make something of it I'll be sure to make it available here so others can use it too.

Woah! The link asdf provided is the one I was thinking about, thanks! In a day or two I'll start labeling it with the entrance & room numbers from HM and post a download in case anyone else can find it usefull.
