The reason people don't like it is not because of your being new, but your lacking of effort even for your first try. This looks like you spent 10 minutes working on. Good hacks can take a long time to make. If you still don't understand...

I spent nearly like 3 hours on it, and i learned to hack the same day :/

You're making it sound like 3 hours is a lot. Just today, I probably spent at the very least 3 hours on my hack, and I started the whole thing almost 3 years ago.

DarkAngel, don't let these guy's comments deter you from doing what you want. Plenty of graphic-only hacks have been published on the net and a lot of people really really like em.

I'm thinking the reason you got these harsh comments was because you did not specify exactly what you hacked. People were expecting all the levels to be completely changed..new music for every level and new enemies to battle. When they saw the "only" change was Mario's graphic they felt let down and then felt the need to have to berate you because of it.

The bottom line is..hacking Super Mario Bros is just wayyy too damn easy to not have some new levels in there. My very first hack had new levels..and I'm an idiot. There is no reason for not using this beautiful program and creating something people will want to play.

I don't think spending exactly 10 minutes to learn SMB Utility, then spending exactly 10 minutes to build a level is asking too much of anybody. And doing so will no doubt leave you with a higher quality, way more funner SMB hack.

If you have any questions DarkAngel about SMB utility or anything, do not hesitate. Keep at it, and don't get discouraged.

Thanks to the last guy comment, and i already know how to use SMB utility, in fact, i changed some text in the game using it, and i didn't only changed mario grapichs, i also changed the mushroom, the star,and the fire flower.

And i know how to hack the levels, i just didn't because the hack i made was supposed to be ONLY GRAPICH, wich i specified in the post before i submmited the hack.

Anyways, ill do a level hack, and see how you people react.

And then they realized "Hey, nesticle sucks" honestly, graphics only hacks are very rarely acceptable these days unless they are massivley and majorly overhauled ._.

Well these are the kinda hacks I see every day on emu asylum til they got rid of there nintendo sections.

Basically it's a humour hack. I like those a bit. This ones alittle incomplete, to make it a little better maybe since it's about drugs you could have bowser a cop or something....and you get ur stash back after beating him. Adds to funnyness and humour.
