Do you have any idea how hard music hacking is? Did you ever think that this idea has come up before? Not all music is stored in the same exact format, you know. Most music is in different formats.

[EDIT] If you must know, DJ Bouche is the one who made the hack.

DJ Bouche. But, he's hardly active.

BTW, talk normal, don't use "b" instead of "be".

DJ Bouche. He did it. He changed the music format in SMW to that of Allstars. They have different music engines. He can't just come along and say "Here guys, now you can edit music." Honestly, given the n00bosity of this thread, you wouldn't know how to edit music if he did give us the addresses where music is stored etc.

Also, there has to b some way, its called figure it out yourself.

Yeah, but eventually, some overly nice guy would come along and "take it all off" for the idiots of the board. In other words, one of these days, someone who is too willing to share will create a program that will make inserting music so easy, that it would just remove the uniqueness of custom music (though it has never actually been done yet) entirely. It just isn't special anymore. It happened with custom sprites and mikeyk, and it'll prohappen again.

Oh, and I do realize that creativity in creating your own sprites/music would still be an option, but most of the things from other Mario games will be very common by the time any hack using them is finished, and that's what many people would think of creating first (and in some cases, it's only what they would think of making). But more importantly, there are very few people with the knowledge to do those kinds of things.

But there has to be another game that has the same engine as SMW. Also, how can it be that it it easier to make asprite editing tool than amusic editng tool??

This thread has been rated inappropriate for all audiences, stupid, already having been asked too often, etc.

But while I am at it... DJ Bouche did the initial SMB1 and -3 music engine change. In total, there are three people on Acmlm's Board who know about the whereabouts of this process (at least, three I know of): DJ Bouche, Keitaro/MBD and me. Even so, our knowledge is not the key to universal insertion of music from any other SNES game; this is unlikely to happen because the amount of work in replacing a game's music engine with an entirely unrelated one (SMAS' music engine was NOT entirely unrelated to SMW's!) is in no proportion to the gain; given the right knowledge and/or tools (I am working on one myself, but its exact release date is not certain yet), you could at most try remixing other games' music. But as of now, there's no publically available method.

But yeah, enough of the talk... let me unleash my super lamesecret technique...
