| Hello everyone, I really enjoy the fact that there is such a site on the internet that I can come to to share my hacking ideas, and they will actually be read and commented on.
I have been trying to hack LoZ:ALTTP off and on for about 2 and a half years now, always running into some problem like my PC being formatted, and the crushing defeat of knowing all my hard work and practice and notes are gone. Well my computer has been running like a top for almost 4 months now, and I am pretty confident that it isn't going to mess up again, so I decided to take another shot at it. I am COMPLETELY overhauling the graphics, item names, dialog, maps, story line, and the concept of Dark World, etc. to make a completely different game. This isn't a LoZ:ALTTP hack, so much as it is writing a game using the LoZ engine. Story so far: You start out in a small mountain town, that is cut off to the world because of an ancient war that caused the people to seal off the village with a powerful magic. Well this is all about to change. You do your errands for the day, and head in to sleep, only to be waken hours later to find out that the gate is opened, and the village's main source of power has been stolen, and your friend has been kidnapped. So you soldier up and head out to get back your friend. You are successful and all in saving her, but still DON'T have the relic, and you are now both fugitives. So you take her to a close friend's house, who you happen to know from the past because you happen to have not lived in the village your whole life. So as she hides out there, you must find 3 fragments of the ancient relic, and return them to a safe place, or suffer the guilt of knowing everyone you know and love is dead and its pretty much cuz you pussed out. Upon recieving all 3 fragments, you find out that the people who kidnapped your friend, and stole the Relic, BROKE the relic creating an apocalipse machine, and you failed to stop them in time (as you can't otherwise the plot would be ruined). So you are given the ancient sword and reflective shield, and are sent off to take down the machine before it realy is to late. WELL it is by the time you defeat the evil wizzard. The world is plunged into a state of morbid . . . . things. And you must restore it to normal by taking down the head of the evil organasation once and for all. Thats all I have SO FAR. so bare with me. Tell me what you think, and suggestions are GREATLY appreciated, and will get your name in the credits. |

What part of screenshots are required when announcing a hack is so difficult to understand? It's... Ugh. It's not even hard to make them. Sigh |
