I think your (Dots?) pattern for the blockquote is annoying. Otherwise, I guess it is okay if that's your style.

It's supposed to be a strip of film (Because of the MST3K theme). I fixed it so that's a bit more obvious. I also rmoved the border around them. It wasn't suuposed to be there, that was a bug in the layout maker, which I also fixed.

So after spending over an hour messing with emcee's Layout Maker, I came up with this. The background is from Haunted Hall in Donkey Kong Country 2 and Kackle is the enemy that you see to the left of my layout. This is obviously going to be my Halloween layout. Now to test the quotes.

Much better, though I think Yellow for Link and Red for visited link would look better, but that's just me

IMAO, yellow is highly more noticeable than red on your layout

Also, here's my new layout (The 500-750 posts), my original idea was to use the Layout Maker to give me the basic code and tweak it to get something like this. It proved to be very difficult as I got 25 lines of code that I just couldn't read (Didn't know what did what), and I could never get only the background to be transparent and not the text...

So I made this one from simple code and a few tricks to make it as I wanted =), the bad thing is IE users will just see 2 ugly grey boxes over each other and huge letters, but if you do so, I recommend changing your browser

Are you serious? You do realize that a lot of people, not just a small minority, use IE? And that it looks like utter crap in it (you said so yourself). I admit my opacity doesn't transfer between the browsers either but c'mon, there's a point of it being ridiculous. Besides, it is not really anything special (besides the annoying white text which blends with BOTH the opaque bg in lololol and the gray bg in IE). I would suggest rethinking it and tinkering with it a bit, at least that's my opinion.

I think it was a matter of bad background selection, so I changed it . About IE's crappiness, if you know a way so text doesn't look huge and the background is semitransparent, then tell me :o
