Okay, since Sprite Tool is released, people are going to want to request Sprites. (Including me.) So, same as Smallhacker's ASM/Custom Block thread, only Sprites.

Same rules apply. I'll start with my request.

I'm going to be starting up a hack pretty soon, as a side project, just to explore the realm of game crossovers. A while back I was working on a small hack that crossed Metroid with Super Mario World. It was horrible because there were no enemies from the Metroid series. So, here's a small list of what could be started with, and possibly, if it gets big enough, could be downloaded as an entire set.

-zoomer
-geemer
-shriekbat
-elevator (Metroid Style)
-door

and tons of others. Possibilities are endless. And that's probably a bad thing.

Woah now, sprite tool has JUST been released a few weeks ago, Mikeyk is probably working on updating it and he still has a life outside the world of computers, too.

Plus, there's a good chance this will be closed since his thread is where people request sprites.

In the slightest case it isn't closed, I would request a mushroom block like the one in SMB2.

Shouldn't mikeyk start this thread? I mean, he is the one making the sprites, so it should be his decision if there is an entire thread for sprite requests, right?

1) Nobody said he is the only one that is to make sprites. He released it solely so that other people could make their own.

2) I made this thread becuase if you look at his thread title, it's a progress thread for his program, not a place to request sprites. I am simply making a place for that here.

3)That would be awesome.

It's probably inevitable that people are going to make threads requesting sprites. To keep it to a minimum, I decided to make this thread. Reason being, I was about to make one myself, and thoguht it couldn't hurt to make this a request thread like the other one stickied already.

Again, this is an invitation to ALL to make requests, also to make custom sprites for those requests.

If it makes you feel better, I'm learning ASM to do that.

[stupidquestion]Can we ask for custom sprites that arn't sprite-tool related?[/stupidquestion]

The name of the topic is misleading

But while I'm here...

Anyone have a gfx patch of icegoom's gfx? I have the smw redrawn one, but its missing a few... I PMed icegoom about 4-5 days ago and have yet to get a reply for permission or a full gfx patch. If anyone has a full gfx patch of his gfx, please upload it and pm me the link. I'll be sure to include his name on the title screen and credits in any hack I may release using his gfx.

Wait, are you asking for someone to make you a sprite without using sprite-tool? I might be misunderstanding you there...

I think he means to make a sprite from scratch without using any programs...
Anyway, I'd like to request a Nipper Plant and Chain Chomp.

It wouldn't be possible, because SMW's SuperFX chip is not fast enough to handle sprite rotation, whereas YI's SFX2 (or is it FX2?) chip is.

you are right and wrong at the same time it is possible but pokey pirahnas head
would have to flip either up,down, left or right. but then it would look funny.
o'well.wait heres a idea make one that only shoots pokey parts left only, right only
diagonl up only and diagonl down only. and its head would never change facing.

First of all, Sprite Tool hasn't been out for very long, so there's only a few people that can make sprites so far, making it less likely that anyone will make the sprites for you.

Second of all... Having one request thread is better than two. I'll close this one and change the title of the other one.

Third of all... STOP RELYING ON OTHER PEOPLE AND LEARN HOW TO DO STUFF YOURSELF!
