well, I know N64 emulaton is near perfect; but it's NOT PERFECT!!! So, couldn't some one hack into a Wii and port their (mst likely perfect) n64 emu to PC (WINDOWS) ? Then again, Nintendo would probably do their damndest to prevent this from happening; but is it even slightly possible?

THis wouldn't work:

1. The Wii isn't even released yet (at least here)
2. The Wii is an completely different computer architecture than our x86-compatible processors, so even if we managed to copy the N64 emulator from the Wii, it would be unusable on our computer.
And porting isn't possible because no one knows the language the Wii software is written in yet.

So: not possible. I want perfect N64 emulation too, but I'll guess we just have to wait.

How do you expect people to port it without any source code? Of course it's not possible.

I don't know about you guys, but I can play all the greats on my machine virtually problem free. Basically, just use both PJ64 and 1964. Together they can run any game with no compromises to anything.

Well, if you had a Mac before the Intel Invasion, then it could work since the Wii is going to use a PowerPC based CPU. So, with some patching, it could work on a Mac. Although, I'm sure the the multimedia routines probably wouldn't work though...

@AlexAR, I believe the discussion is focusing using Nintendo's Emulator for N64 to play N64 games.

Why is this not closed yet? And I thought the gamecube emulates n64 to play Zelda colector's edition n64 games.
