| On the iPod, if serious damage occurs to the hardware or the firmware, a Sad iPod appears, much in the same way as the Sad Mac.
From Wikipedia's Sad Mac article (in response to neotransotaku, not Sukasa). In other words, you brought it upon yourself, and you should dump your old iPod and get a new one. | If you're interested in getting another iPod, you can bring it into an Apple store and they'll give you a discount. That's what I did when mine died and the warranty had expired. | |||

If they gave a larger discount for existing iPod users, like 25%, then I wouldn't mind. but I don't want to shell out another $270

Anyways, once I do that, I guess I'll sell this to anyone who wants it. I at least want to recuperate some part of my loss

I've had my ipod for... a little less than a year. About 10 months. It's working great, and I hope it stays that way.  It's a 30GB iPod Video. Black. <3 it.
The day I see that sad face will be a sad day indeed. |

| I tried hooking it up to my friend's ubuntu computer. However, we weren't sure whether ubuntu saw it connected or not since ubuntu has automount for usb drives. |
