I've created a home page for this hack, with links to screenshots and the gold itself, Metroid Genocide! Now, take this link over to see it!

Dude Man, congrats on the release, and I hope it gets all the attention it deserves. It's been in the making for so long now. And, it's finally out. Great Job!

Hellishly hard?
Really?
Go try Metroid Challenge for hellishly hard.
And I didn't disable NARPAS SWORD, I merely... changed it.
for spelling "for" wrong I give your writing ability an -100 out of 10

Hmm there is a small prob, it's like one other met hack where she has green lines on her. For some reason it fixed it self when you die and restart without reseting the emulator. I sudgest if this occurs on your guy's as well you should save a save state for after she dies at the beginning, then load it everytime you start it up. Might be just mine.

Hey douchebag, if you need to cheat to play all of your games then don't bother connecting to the internet ever again. You don't deface this hack by cheating and nullifying all the hard work that went into it. And, if it was too hard for you, it'd be a wonder if you ever beat the original Metroid 1.

Not using save states isn't that hard. Look at it this way: you come to memorize everything in the game and it makes it easier every time you restart.

Anyways, I never encountered this glitch before either. Pretty weird.

This hack is amazing. I liked how you added a Crateria esq area to the beginning of the new Brinstar. Got the morph ball and bombs so far. Great job.

Since neither of you have encountered this bug before and he's come across it on TWO hacks, I definitely recommend not ruling out the possibility that his Metroid ROM has issues that carried over to both hacks he patched to that ROM. Other than that, I don't know why such an 'obvious' bug would have slipped by so many people.

funguy10: It's too hard for you? And he disabled your primary means of cheating? I guess that nullifies the quality of the hack and makes it the worst hack in the history of the world. You sound like one of those gamers who can't beat a game on his own and always relies on cheats.

Great stuff man, i love it.

As for funguy, i propose that he just sucks and needs to go get some skill rather than insult other peoples hard work. Use a code you talentless loser.

Let me tell you right now, the automap patch won't help worth shit for this hack at all. It is designed in a way that if you use it, you will be confused off your ass. Not sure if Dude Man did this on purpose or not...

But, you, being Bob Vila, should know your way around a place.

actually this hack was planned to use the map ips hack. However due to massive lagging issues and being completly useless is most cases it was removed.

Just wondering, don't need it, just wanted to see if the map thing is universal. The snes wall jump, will most likely work(der), It'll be neet. IMO someone NEEDS to ASM samus aiming down, and maybe even ducking like GB and snes. It's possible and would help with hacks using the Snes on nes samus, and trying to make it like the GB or snes one. Diagonal not needed yet realy, and would be alittle harder.

After this, someone needs to take the map, my idea of aiming down(maybe ducking later) which would both need extra spacing for new sprites for this, and the wall jump. Put it together and make one mean Super Metriod esq metriod game. That would be cool.

I'm having the same problem, not other Metroid hacks I have experience it though.

The hack is great, I've been playing it on PocketNES, not getting anywhere though, I forgot how much I sucked at the original Metroid

Dude Man, would you mind submitting the hack to RHDN?
