| I really.... HATE..... Freaking idiots! People are so smart, oh, they know php. When I talk my talk on irc, they treat it like a damn meeting. Like I'm actually speaking, and they can't help but read my fucking text. Honestly, I'm tired of this bullshit, and you "smart cookies" can go do php, or something. I don't really care if you can hack boards, make games, rom hack, whatever. You should at least have a fucking brain to skip over my text. SKIP OVER IT! That's the wonder of IRC! You don't HEAR me! Fucking take advantage of that!

Anyway, yeah. People freaking complain about it. They even refer it as "talking". I honstly don't know how many years they've been on the computer, but they should really stick their heads out of the window at least once. |

Then there's a leader. A leader says something, then the rest join in. This is the strongest type of bring down. If someone hates you that is real popular, expect never ending pain. All in all, you can't prevent it. You have to deal with it. |

| Shyguy, you are obviously a nice person, but that doesn't mean you don't get on people's nerves. I'll be honest and say you mildly irritated me in #rom-hacking when you were there.
I don't remember if you were off topic or acting lazy or just ignorant, it didn't really matter. When you're in a community and you're the newbie you gotta figure out how to fit in. You think we all haven't done it? You know how I fit in? I kept my mouth shut for a long time and only when I actually had something worth saying, I said it. I've been in irc channels where people wouldn't give me the time of day and you know what I did? I left. I didn't need shit like that. (e.g. #metroid on irc.metroid2002.com) You want to have your own irc channel? Register it, it's easy and free, and invite people you do like(/invite blah blah). It's either that or learn how people react to you, and develop a sense of when to keep your mouth shut. Like I'm actually speaking, and they can't help but read my fucking text. Having to /ignore somebody just b/c they can't figure out how to carry themselves in a chatroom is hella annoying. Seriously, chill out and find other people to talk to. In real life i'll meet people and they turn out to be pricks sometimes. Not everybody is meant to be friends with or like everyone else. | See, the thing people fail to do is realize there is a thing called "netiquette" (internet etiquette). Ignore the idiots that plague those channels and don't mind what they say. Getting into confrontations just makes you as bad as them, so don't do it.
You seem like a pretty nice person so be nice and just ignore them. |

| Seriously, no matter where you go, you'll run into a jackass. I used to be a lot like you. I would get really pissed off when one person tells me I'm a dumbass. I learned that if you throw a hissy fit and make an ass out of yourself, you're just as bad as (if not worse than) the person who "hurt" you. If you want my advice, just ignore the ones making you mad and you'll win no matter what.
From my guess, you're a young fellow who just needs to get used to these little flame wars. In time I'm sure you'll turn out just fine.  |

| Here's a good tip, ask them to do //mode # +b Shyguy
Then you'll see something like: * X sets mode: +b Shyguy!*@* and when you talk, they'll ignore you, it works - really. The best way to beat a troll is to not become one, and hey, /ignore works for you too, man. |
