Wow; 11:33 PM and I'm using the computer for the first time today, and this is NOT an isolated occurence. First my sister usually gets up and literally eats breakfast by the computer and she has a lockgrip on the computer until about 5. My parent then gets on the computer until about 11:30~midnight. I then get to use it for about a half-hour until I fall asleep!

Also, nothing on Earth or anywhere in the universe is her fault; she sleeps until noon than can't fall asleep until 5 AM, and it's somehow my TV that's on three notches above zero (which I can't hear a damn thing on, so she's apparently freakin' Superman) that's keeping her up! I'd read, but knowing her, I would turn the pages too loudly.

The strange thing is that my parents see nothing wrong with it, even though at least 90% of conversations between my mother and my sister end up with one screaming "bitch" to another; no, according to my mother, that's how all girls act at her age. (Seriously, do all girls in the mid-teens scream at their family almost all the time, ignore chores, do the bare minimum possible to avoid getting kicked out, and generally talk better to trash than family?)

Also, she seems to be a damn pathological liar and it's always my fault when I bring up how she's lying; amazing, when I catch her in a lie, it's "me not minding my own business"; when she lies about me, I somehow get punished!

Any sibling horror stories here?

It's been my experience that teenage girls are the devil when they aren't being princesses. See Tarale's title =P

Also, this should probably be moved to Officer's Club.

Officer's club? Eh, this isn't really *serious*, this is me complaining ; if it should still go there, could a mod move it?

I don't know, I may be a selfish bitch, but here goes.

I've always felt somewhat neglecting when I think about my sister. The main reason:
- Basically I was born when my mother was honestly quite young. My birth father, wanted to go off into the Military but my mom didn't. They seperated for a bit, he came back. And from what she tells me he didn't seem like he was ready to be a father or something. So, that didn't work out. My grandparents have a video of my 3rd birthday party, and he was in it. I have not seen that video for maybe over 10 years, but I have extremely faint memories of him in it. I -know- he was there, but I can't make him out anymore. Since then I've never seen or heard from him, and I'm 18 now.

So, when I turned 5-ish my current adopting father and mother had a daughter, my sister.

It might just be me being a little nitpicky, but from the many years I've seen her grow, she's always seemed to be closer to my parents. She has a lot more expensive things than I did at her age. My guess? She loves music, and plays many instruments. My dad has played guitar for almost all his life. So I guess that means she's better? I played videogames, and have been made fun of because of it throughout my family all my life. I got maybe a game or two, for say ... Christmas at a younger age, she got drums, guitars, keyboards (she's on her 3rd?) and just overall a lot more stuff than I would have gotten.

So that's basically it. Since my parents got married and had her, she always seemed [or seems] to be the favorite.

Meh. =\

My little bro was very much Dad's favorite. I don't hold it against him though. I always hated dad anyway. I like him okay now, but only in small doses.

Same with my sister; with her for a few minutes or a half-hour, she's fine. Ask her to do something or piss her off....

Considering I'm the youngest in my family, I've always felt that I was treated unfairly, having to go to bed sooner, not getting the same privileges, etc etc... but now that I'm older that all makes sense. My brother is a bit of a jerk, punching me when I outsmart/wit/anything him. But oh well. I suppose he'd say the same thing about me that you did about your sister, Craig, but that's just cuz we don't get along. But as for who's always wrong... that would be me. My brother's the angel, if I ever try to say he's wrong I'm in big trouble.

I've always been closer to my mom, easily.

I have nothing against my father, but we've had our days. Somedays where I asked myself "Why?" ... and "How would my real dad act?".

I know its silly really. I didn't even know my real father. But I'm sure we all have those little things in life that make us question things no matter what.

Edit: Adding unto what Danielle brings up. I can easily see that my parents have been far less strict with my sister, letting her see higher rated movies and not really caring. For me, it was like the end of the world if I did.

Don't worry; it's all verbal; I've never hit her, ever.

Mainly considering that my parents would probably hit me ten times harder.

It's weird; when I'm not home or around family, I'm perfectly normal. Around family, it's a screaming match!

That too; it seems like they are a bit easier "the second time around" (not that I can complain at all; it's pretty hard to get punished in my house). I couldn't see movies like Ferris Buelller or Scary Movie until I was 17; she saw those two at 12-13.

After my big bro and sis (10 and 12 years older than me) moved out I didn't really have friendly faces around the house. I ran away a few times after big fights. I remember my mom ripping my shirt and clawing me because she "thought I was gonna kill my little brother" when we got into an argument where I was clearly in the right. I've never outright attacked my brother, though he hit me in the face a few times when we were kids. Another time my dad got in my face and I swung a shovel at him. I ended up walking (barefoot after my dress shoes blistered me) for about 5 miles through the woods to a friends house where I stayed for a few days. I came back when Dad moved out.

I still don't blame my brother too much though. He'd instigate things, but he was a kid.

Just be glad you sister doesn't do drugs; mine does.
She's gotten into trouble alot and did alot of weed. It's a good thing she doesn't smoke anymore. Imagine just how irritable your sister is, add the weed and more irritability plus some ugly fashon sense and you have my sister. I have to keep her in the house and make sure she doesn't do anything particularly stupid. She lies right in front of my face 90% of the time and I have to make sure she doesn't stay out late. She's a parasite but I have to take care of her anyways.

To quote a friend's mother, after you see the older one's wreck their lives you care less and less what they do and instead turn to the younger ones, trying to make their life a sucess the most you can, because what is a parent if it can't raise one good child.

ontopic: I would suggest getting your own computer by any means necessary, so that she can't hog it. If it's a "family" computer then there's nothing you can do about it.

Couldn't he just wake up earlier?

He said she wakes up at noon, so couldn't he just get up before her and take it?

I don't have any of the stories. I used to let her use the computer when she needed it, and when we still had 56k and she was waiting for some unimportant call, I had to disconnect. That made me somewhat angry, buy in the end when I thought about it, it was more than fair.

I'm the younger one of the two, but as far as I remember, she's never been a bitch, well at least when talking to me. She had some problems with my mother from time to time, but really, it was random.

I've got one for you that's better than that.

I hate my entire family, especially my two half-sisters...well....the youngest one I can stand. (We have the same mom, not the same father).

Well, the summer before my senior year of high school, while I was visiting an uh....acquaintance (XD) in Illinois, my shitty ass half sister decided that she would take it up on herself to pawn off my PS2, all my games, all my DVDs, my gba, 2 gba games, and a watch.

And for what end?

To snort prescription pills up her nose and smoke marijuana~.

Well, logic dictates that if you WANT those habits, you should be responsible enough to pay for them at the very least.

Yay for being an only child.
